That's incorrect. I RMA'd a Seagate drive to Coventry on the 16th December:

It was received on the 19th and a replacement shipped on the 22nd.
This, I had a Maxtor to send off for work before Christmas. The RMA turnaround was quick and kept me well informed. You get a choice of depots you can post it to - sure, you can send it direct to Holland if you want but it's cheaper and almost as quick to send it to the UPS pick-up point in the UK.
Still, sad to see Samsung being gobbled up by Seagate. Every Seagate I've owned (6 drives from 7200.8 up to 7200.11) has died within three years, whilst I've seen an acceptable 20% failure rate on my Samsungs (Owned around 12 F1's) over the same lifespan.
