Thanks as i am looking to lease, i already asked a few agents to search for the 1.4 SLine Stronic with Comfort pack, Sat Nav,Climate Control and Heated Mirrors (Surprised there not standard in such a car) , it does look like with this spec i may have to wait for a new one which would be late January
The paddles are only £95 and can quite easily be "thrown in" but I do agree that the 185 should come with them as standard.
One of the critical reasons I bought my A1 185 (S Line S Tronic etc) was for the Lumbar support on both the driver and passengers seat. Unless anything has changed this isn't an option at all on any of the other models that share the same platform.
The price is relatively high (especially once you start on the options) but then the quality of the end product is also much higher than its direct contempories. The A1 interior is a marked improvement over the Polo (especially in the materials used), a large improvement over the Seat (main dash area and especially the doors) and the less said about the woeful interior on the vRS the better (seriously who designed the interior on the Fabia?).
Oh I have an extra 5PS as well and my car looks like Darth Vaders helmet
One point for the op - If you do go for one try to aim for the A1 1.4TFSI (122) Sport S Tronic with connectivity pack* and Xenons. You get the best engine / gearbox combo south of the 185 and plenty of kit to keep you happy. The Xenons also finish off the front end and are a lot better than the standard headlights.
*This gives you: Bluetooth, Sat Nav Prep, AMI, steering wheel buttons, voice control and an extra SD card reader for the MMI (6.5" colour display).
