I saw that one, but it has no MMI so I didn't bother linking to it
Quality is OK, not as good as my previous generation S3 but still good. The flat bottomed steering wheel is a must as the standard realy is rather bland! The RNSE although isn't brilliant does seem to help with re-sale value. The Bose system can be a bit of a pain with the mic automatically adjusting the volume. This cannot be disabled and has to be physically disconnected. This only affects some models and it seems like most to be honest.
The brakes in my opinion aren't brilliant and they were terrible on my track day. The calipers are large along with the disc's but they really aren't great but i suspect a good pad combination will aid this.
I've had a stage 1 remap and I've got a Revo race intake which is a fantastic bit of kit with good gains. A stage 1 remap apparently yields up to 310hp, but I will be going Stage 2+ so between 350-370hp.
I think I've had it about 4/5 months now and in that time I've had to replace one rear spring (£80), rear discs and pads (£107), Cam follower (£24 common fault with the tfsi engines), Uprated OEM Diverter valve (£40), Two new front tyres due to pot holes (£130 for PS3's) and a rear wheel bearing (£300 ish)
Most of it general wear and tear with the engine parts just replaced because they are cheap and for piece of mind.
Major service was £249 at a specialist.

Still pondering that but the discount they throw at the new ones is immense.
Covers more than the interest paid in the monthly's.
Don't get confused between the normal radio (which has a screen anyway, all b8s have a screen), which is low resolution and has rubbish features (and the controls are up on the dashboard by the aircon), and the two variants of MMI (SD based and HDD based) which have the controls by the gear stick.
The radio systems are incredibly basic, and whilst they do have the option of AMI, that is it for extended features. You'll never be able to add sat nav, you'll never get the advanced car integration features, the system is slow, clunky and has a tendency to lock up with newer iOS devices.
MMI is a must in my opinion if buying new.
