Audi owners in here!

i''ve checked with swansea audi if i buy this car from a different audi dealership can i take it there for warranty work and to be checked out and i was told i would have to discuss the problem with the selling dealership first and then they would have to talk to swansea audi and discuss the work and negoticate it or what ever and then have to give swansea the go ahead to do the warranty work...

This sounds like xD complete rubbish. The entire point of the xD Approved Used warranty is xD that its Europe wide.

yea just spoke to them and they said they don;t know where the others got their info from but it's an audi warranty and is usable throughout the audi dealerships. would be really limited other wise and not make much sense from a customer support point of view...

waiting to hear back about some finance options but unless it's something really good might reconsider and wait for the reg change to see what comes in..rubbish that I'd have to wait longer but might be worth it in the long run after to wait for something with a bit less capital investment.

Having just been informed and read regarding the whole setup, are you not interested in the MMI with nav system Sasso?
That car you linked doesn't have it from what I can see.
Purely want a fast driver's car?

The services are usage based, and every 18,000 sounds about right. There is nothing between services (the first will be an interim), and the MMI tells you when it's due.

I tried convincing Sasso about MMI, he isn't that bothered, and would rather have a body kit over MMI. He ignored a gorgeous red SE!

yea pretty much, the MMI and nav are things I've not considered as important to me personally as they tend to be that much more expensive again. I would rather keep the main spec as is and work with the options, B&O is nice as I do enjoy music and it sounds great, just put in my cd or an sd card and hit play and enjoy it with minimal fuss. parking would be nice for helping park in awkward places :p I doubt the cruise control would ever be used.

edit: I know paradigm, as I said, personally I'd rather keep the base spec the same over options :) even if it sounds crazy.....

I didn't realise the first would be an interim.
So of the Technik 136 engine users, how much oil does your car drink?

It appears they freely admit this now, and even happily said they refill the oil container in the boot at each service to allow topups.

Oh yes and the 17inch tyres, £200 a go from Audi? Or can one do much better elsewhere?

So far, not a drop, at least according to the MMI oil level readout (there is no dipstick).

As for the tyres, can't say I've even looked yet, but I can't imagine them being as expensive elsewhere.

Great, well looks like I will be ordering soon.
Apparently an SE Technik with xenon's will likely be a factory job, so might be Oct or Nov for actual delivery :/ Need them to move a bit on my trade in price first I think.

Personally the Xenons,Sports seats, body trim & wheels, of the BE are something I value over the MMI of the SE-T.

The HDD satnav is the only thing the SE-T has going for it, otherwise its quite a plain looking car. The seats in the BE are much more comfy imo. The leather in the SE-T is distinctly poor.Mines showing wear after 19k miles, none of my previous cars have shown this level of wear.

If you don't need satnav then get the BE, its the better car all round, the SE-T is for company car drivers!

Oh and mine did drink a little oil over the 19k miles I covered, the oil readout showed the dipstick to be down by around a quarter.

Dead right. Id go black edition anyday.

Or get something older and faster ;)

I made a thread for this, but it may be more appropriate to ask here, so:

I've broken the original radio in my A3 (52 plate 8L) and have bought a new one. The radio looks great with some nice features but it seems I may need some sort of adapter? Maybe a canbus? Can anyone advise me please...the canbus appears rather expensive, £50ish!

Thanks in advance,

Im back in an Audi. The car is epic and feels special compared to my previous audi :D

the fuel consumption is also epic lol..... but the noise it makes!

V8 :D

16mpg when not hanging about.... 21-22 when taking it easy. yet to see what its like on the motorway. hoping for 25-26 or something.

Again how is the MPG? I ask as a mate has one and I'm wondering how he can afford to run it!

EDIT: Those are urban figures?

EDIT: Those are urban figures?

yeah urban, but not city traffic. just normal A/B roads and back roads. only done 3/4 tank so far, so early to give predictions.

tbh, i thought **** it, how likely is it that i will own a V8 anything in a few years. i can put up with the fuel consumption for a couple of years.
