Audi owners in here!

Ordered the wife a new Audi A4 Quattro TDI SE Tech 177 bhp DSG through drivethedeal

Lava Grey
Black leather
Folding and dimming mirrors
Hill hold control
3-spoke steering wheel
Heated front seats
TPMS

Delivery on a 14 plate hopefully :)

I hope you got a staggeringly good deal on that, isn't 14 plate about the last plate you'll be able to get on that before the all new model replaces it?

I think i'd have been tempted by 12 months in a 2008ish one (It's the same car) ready for a factory order for the B9 once it's released. Very brave buying the old one brand new, if paying brand new money surely you want a fresh brand new latest gen car not last decades model they are still selling?

B9 is coming in April 2015 is it not?

I did get a deal which basically makes the car cheaper than a 6 month old one with 10k miles on it :D

They're practically giving them away these days because it is at the end of its run. I've seen the S4 saloon for only a £100 difference from the S3 saloon at around £30k on drivethedeal...

Did you consider adding Xenons ? The A4 front end looks much better with Xenons rather than reflector halogen headlights.

Yeah xenons generally are top of my list of options but couldn't really stretch the budget that far this time. :(

Come on, you were spending what, £30k, if you've got £30k for a new Audi you've got what, the 900 quid they want for Xenons :p It makes SUCH a difference, you get the crap DRL's without the Xenons to. The front end of the car looks fantastic with the Xenons.

It's 300PS (which I think is probably a few hp under 300) and 280 torques.

Still a 4 pot though

The 8P S3 threw out around 290 (was recorded 265 officially), so remaps were easily passing 310.

I'm still not sure about the new S3, I've stuck with the V6 A3 for now, though the steering wheel and seats on the new S3 look very nice. The best thing about the S3 is the tune-ability, its just immense results for not much investment

290 after a remap maybe, not at standard.

The 8p S3 was 265ps as standard.

Unless there is an over eager rr in the equation ;)

Talking about xenons, anyone recommend a brighter/whiter bulb for an A5? I posted it in the show us your car thread rather than in here, sorry.

Fox as you stated in the other thread, light output peaks at around 4300k, is it worth changing them or just leaving them stock? I don't really want to lose light output for the sake of them being a bit whiter if that's the case.

No way were the 8P's putting out 290 in standard form. The new S3's even as standard people are saying are faster than remapped 8P's. I like the interiors but the outside just doesn't afloat my boat, but then again when I had an 8L S3 I thought the same about the 8P.
