Australian GP 2009 - Race 1/17 (NOT in HD BTW)

Indeed on all 3 points made there

That is highly conjecture..

Honestly, to really chastise MacLaren (And I'm no particular fan of them either) to the level some people are is fine, but honestly, lets put it into context against all the infractions all the drivers/teams have made over the last decade, I think you have to have a huge degree of bias to not at least realise this type of behaviour, although unwelcome, seems almost par for the course, and as such you have to take the rough with the smooth.

I would love to see an end to any untoward behaviour, but you'd have to exclude at least Ferrari with MacLaren to really nip it in the bud, these are both teams who with their drivers would seemingly run their grans over if it meant they gained an extra point.

I think you missed what was being said - he was referring to Ferrari closing ranks unlike McLaren.

With all the people saying to LH to get out, who would really take him? Hes got a track record of causing in-fighting within the team at the highest level and seemingly will take anyone down with him when he (or the team) gets caught. As good a driver as he is, he does seem a handful to manage and I would never feel comfortable around him if I was a team mate or even an engineer/manager...

P.S. Am I the only one that thinks the apology from LH was there to avoid further actions from the FIA than to really say 'sorry'? One thing to say for Schumacher though, we all knew he was a bare-face cheat but at least he was one-dimensional like that; LH just goes one step further and goes for the sad eyes routinue and 'they made me do it' and everything is seemingly hunky dory.

Maybe 2 out of the 4 comments then.. ;)

I do agree Ferrari do a much more united effort when things go wrong! :)

I think I was just replying to all the posts saying for LH to leave and just considered that on face value any team would love have him, but considering all debacle thats constantly around him ever since he joined the sport, it would be still have to be a brave team...

F1 is cut-throat but your team is your team - wonder how the McLaren crew are feeling at the moment...

ps3ud0

50m fine was too small, should have been equivalent to however much money Ferrari spent developing the car that McLaren had the blueprints for ... and it's way more than 50mil.

Wouldnt be a Ferrari fan would you?;) It indeed was a witch hunt. Ferrari and no team is whiter than white.

It is still run as a GENTLEMAN'S sport ... hence the stewards taking what the drivers say, because they are supposed to trust them.
What you say to the stewards is similar to say a court room, does that mean that you should never trust a witness in court?

Hilarious comment - a Gentlemans sport! Senna, Mansell, Schumacher acted as gentleman? haha.

Cheat but have the decency to cheat in style, i.e. dont get caught.....as Ross Brawn once said about a certain someone - JM - he had no class

Thats sums Mclaren up - a team with no class :D

This entire sorry story just shows how far F1 has fallen since the days of decency and integrity so typified by the honest competitors of the past.

Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost spring to mind and one should never forget that Michael Schumacher epitomised the "Red Baron" days of honour and fair play in Formula 1.

Hamilton has a pretty good relationship with his engineers by all accounts, and most people take the view that Alonso was the one more in the wrong over the farce of his first season.

Renault aren't going to take him; they've got Alonso.
Force India: Well, they'd bite his hand off but it's hardly likely.
Toyota: Probably bad blood now, but can you seriously think they're going to look at their line up and go "well, we'd rather have Trulli/Glock than the youngest ever world champion?" I don't think so.
Ferrari: Well, Massa has their favour, but Kimi has severely underperformed last season. It would depend on how they thought he'd sit with Massa, and how Kimi does this season, I think. Hamilton is clearly a better talent than Massa though.
Brawn: Button is probably secure, more so by the end of the season, but Rubens is getting on. I think they'd take Hamilton for next season like a shot.
Toro Rosso: Not likely. If he was going to the Red Bull teams he's more like to go for the top team.
Red Bull: Vettel can be pretty secure but Webber's never really lived up to his potential. And, remember, Red Bull are a frickin' drinks company - they're in this as advertising through and through. They'd snap up a exciting, young, mixed-race driver like a shot.
BMW: I wouldn't want to put Hamilton in with Kubica, while Heidfeld is a great number two. Can't see it.

So of the nine other teams, I call just four as a definite no.

Ferrari are more likely to steal Vettel really that take Hamilton, alternatively they will take Alonso and later on once Massa goes take on Vettel.
