Australian GP 2009 - Race 1/17 (NOT in HD BTW)

Love that Friday feeling.

I never realised quite how passionate some of you lot are when it comes to F1, proves that [despite the perceived image] F1 is alive and kicking...although maybe into a shallow grave.

i aint too botherd, but he whines about ferrari and the FIA helping them all the time then gets his knickers in a twist when someone calls his team mcfailen? Did he not see them finish 17th and 18th?

Last season was the first season where i didnt bother watching all the races because i couldnt be botherd listening to the rubbish on ITV and on here. Upto that point id watched every race from the last GP in 95 to mid season last year.

its great to start fresh and hopefully wont turn into a mess again but its actions and reactions of people like rypt and memph that are way too OTT. I liken them to Football fans that claim there team is the best and give loads of stupid reasons for it.

The FIA are not Ferrari biased one jott, they do tend to have a dislike for McLaren [well its perceived to be a bias against them] but overall i think they are pretty neutral. Some of the stewards decisions are questionable but generally they are dealt with behind closed doors.

i wasnt saying they was. As you said its more anti mclaren than pro ferrari.

*glances over last page of posts*

You know, it really must be just sheer bloody-mindedness keeping me in these threads. Jesus Christ, rypt - you're seemingly a fairly intelligent guy from other posts on this forum, you can do better than "McFailen"....

Stuff JRS would love to see from the rest of this weekend:

1) Both BGP cars on the podium.
2) Jenson on the top step of the aforementioned podium.
3) Ferrari picking up the pace a bit.
4) The RBR cars beating the Renaults.
5) McLaren to be the slowest of the Merc engined teams in the race (I'll admit, that one is pure Schadenfreude :)).
6) The end result to actually stand when whatever appeals are made post-race.

***edit***

As you said its more anti mclaren than pro ferrari.

Like I said to Flibster in the other thread - you try telling sunama that and see how far you get :) He's ignored pretty much every single one of my posts where I've tried to advance that theory.

Apart from number 5 (not because of Hammy, mainly because I have a complete man-crush on Ron Dennis) and sort of number 3 (I'd like them to improve as long as they don't actually win), that's a fine list. And, whatever the result of the race, I think we can all get behind number 6.
