Australian Grand Prix 2011, Albert Park Circuit - Race 1/19

the Spirit of the rules (yet again) in these kinds of situations has been completely demolished by Ferrari yet again (not only trying to force JB to lose an additional place - but then to force the drive through by pitting Massa)

I have no problem with this, fair play it's part of F1.
I don't even have a problem with race control not getting back. The rules are there. They should have a team dedicated to learning them. Other teams seem to be very good with this, mclaren seem to be dire.

What the problem is, yet again lack of consistency with Fia and even bigger lack of watching and waiting for a complaint before investigating.

I also think anything that is not under investigation by the end of the race should stick. Other than scruitneering.

What's annoying is it's one of the rules FIA said they would clamp down on and be watching this year.
Why say it if it's not going to happen.

This isn't the first time the cars use the run-off areas, I think there are other tracks where all the cars use a very wide line to maintain speed.

Ignore comparison to JB as that was totally different.

FIA have restated this season that at least one wheel must remain on the track and that they would be watching for such infringements and they would be punishing.

yet again FIA saying one thing and doing another.

Also even though vettle took a longer way, he could carry much more speed into the corner, throughout the corner and get the power down much faster and harder on the way out.

Except the stewards decide, not the FIA - and they had Jonny Herbet to advise them too.

Cars usually get punished if they cut a corner or gain an advantage by going on the inside (off track). I've never seen one punished for going off the track on the outside.

is it Singapore with the corner, they watched with hawk eyes last year as everyone kept going off to straighten the corner out. Just a small curb then tarmac.
