Australian Grand Prix 2013, Melbourne - Race 1/19

Sorry guys, tickets already allocated to a large group of us, it's going to be a great weekend in Melbourne :p I actually wanted to go for the 4 day grandstand pass but time off work coupled with the lads I'm going with only wanting to attend on Sunday put paid to that idea.

The Webber stand is at the back of the main straight so hoping to get some decent photos of the start, the final corner, and of course along the pit lane opposite. All depends on the fencing though.

By the way, has anyone seen the weather forecast yet? From www.bom.gov.au/vic/forecasts/melbourne.shtml:

All right, it's the long range forecast so not entirely reliable, but if it does turn out to be correct that could make for an interesting opening race...

Brilliant, I know you'll love it! Take it you've been before?

I'll be in Shanghai on the 14th April so will be loving it up as much as you :D

It felt like this week would never come! \0/

So many questions to answer and no doubt there will be yet more questions once this weekend has ended.

Love it. :D

Bumm bum bum bum bummmmmmmmmmmm! Bumm bum bum bum bummmmmmmmmmmm! do do do do....

Worst attempt at typing F1 music but I am very excited! (despite mothers day not coinciding with the first gp confusing me...) :D

Shame I can't watch it live though, sunday highlights for me! Are BBC doing the same highlights as last year??

Well good enough typing to know you were trying to do BBC coverage not Skys :p

Beeb are doing highlights again, they are on about 1pm both Sat and Sun if memory serves. Perfect timing to watch highlights and then watch the six nations :D

Though fingers crossed for a certain website to have full Sky coverage up before six nations as I want to watch the build up.

It's my "turn" to get up with the daughter on Saturday. At least I'll have something decent to watch, rather than Special Agent Oso :D

Does mean ill have to record the gp on Sunday though. Can't wait

Yay, weekends are about to become fun once again, now that my son is 6, im hoping he will take an interest this year and will become our time together, just like i had. If he gets into it im planning my first ever trip to silverstone next year with him for a true daddy time weekend (doesnt live with me, weekend dad :( )
