Australian Grand Prix 2015, Melbourne - Race 1/19

Another team with a dire race strategy, I don't understand Force India and their "every time we make a pitstop a child dies in africa" mentality. He's pulled out 28 seconds on button and when did he pass him after pitting, what, 15 laps ago max, maybe less. On a two stop strategy they'd have been way way faster. Trying to save tires when they have exactly no reason to go slow enough to do so. But the gap for Button is now looking terrible for Mclaren.

So Mercedes have managed to tell both their drivers fuel levels yet within the rules :p

I think they were saying they are allowed to tell them their own fuel, just not team mates which is where the issue was. Rosberg asked about Hamilton's fuel, Hamilton asked about his own fuel.

Ericsson might have put in a half decent pass at the end but how far down he was on his team mate. Nasr did a fantastic job, exceptional job frankly.

Red Bull, terrible on all counts, TR, look promising in comparison but hamstrung by that engine, poor Max :(

Surprising Mclaren made it to the end, genuinely surprised but they turned their pace down so far, how Perez failed to get by him for so long was a joke considering the gap at the end once he had gotten by him, horrific tactics insisting Perez goes slow enough to maintain tires and stay out on terrible slow tires for so long. What is the point losing 2-3 seconds a lap for 40 laps to not have to pit a second time and lose all of 25 seconds, retarded.

Ferrari really have made a huge step, both car itself which looks FAR better, but engine as well. Kimi though, Ferrari/Vettel telling him who is number 2 :(

There we go.

Mercedes 1-2

Absolutely cruised to victory. 0.6s per lap faster than 3rd place. They have more in reserve.

30th Silver Arrows victory according to Paddy Lowe

Glad vettel managed to get 3rd but not happy about kimi's race. Hopefully we have more drivers on the grid next time around, will be interesting to see where sauber are.

I think till RBR fix their issues Sauber will be in amongst them at various tracks. Had Ricciardo not been stuck up behind Nasr he may well have been faster in clear air and tires lasted better but if Nasr can qualify well or get ahead at the start the engine/driver combo looks strong there. Ericsson.... maybe not so much.

Agreed Nasr looks a genuine talent, impressive driving.

Yup, he didn't panic finding himself further ahead than some, he managed tires very well, he managed his pace, fuel. A lot of drivers, not just rookies but plenty of older drivers would find themselves in that position and try and keep up with the guy infront or push too hard to stay ahead of the guys behind and use too much fuel or take too much out of their tires and end up having to go slow at the end as a result. He did neither, he stuck to his pace and controlled his car. I think it is an incredible first drive tbh.
