Great race, tyres are good and following is fine except for Hamilton. Expect DRS zones will be extended to make getting past easier again.

Shame for Alonso to not grab a point after being there so long.

Find the Sky show frustrating with Symonds, cheater and another boring grey haired person giving his opinion, Davidson or Chandok are far better.

Ferrari hype train is real :o

Yeah, I don't see where accusations of him sulking, whining, or complaining can come from .

They came solely from him on the radio. Clearly making excuses for not leading.

Yes he was gracious in defeat, only probably because he realised if he hadn't made the call to pit himself he may actually have won the race.

Vettel will be pleased, only a matter of time before he's taken Rosbergs place at the head of the Ocuk hate list. It will be refreshing to have two good drivers from two teams battle it out again but tbh I don't see it lasting. I'm sure it was just an off day for mercedes and they will have more on days than off ones compared to ferrari.

Agreed and if Merc are allowed to continue burning oil in Qualy (can of worms opened) then Ferrari will seldom be in front to challenge them on track position.

Well that was a boring race, actually more like a Sunday morning drive.

It may be a diffent story on a different circuit but that is one boring start to the season, at least Hamilton didn't win.

Masterful drive from Vettel and Hamilton. Both so fast (Hamiltons strategy call wasn't great though). Looks like Mercedes are only a fraction ahead, but that the races will be won or lost on pit strategy.

Overtaking was practically non-existent, other than the odd bold move.

Nobbling Mercs/RB's suspension has worked out a treat for Ferrari it seems. :p At least Merc still have the engine though. Weren't RB 30 seconds adrift?! Thats bad newsz

Great to see Mercs dominance come to an end. Finally.

Decent first race. Cars look damn cool. Overtaking no worse than last year really.

Ferrari is a superb looking race car. Looks so controlled too.

Forza Ferrari!

Great win for Ferrari and Seb, race was a bit boring but this track is never that good anyway. Will be interesting to see if Ferrari can win in China then we know it's game on but they showed great pace at Barcelona so should be looking good.

A good race. Enjoyed it greatly.
Nice to see Ferrari get back on it.
Racing is racing :)

Racing is racing? not really

They've confounded the issue of losing performance when following another car by increasing the down force so it's more difficult to overtake than it should be, the cars are faster they're all faster so it's neutralised.

Nice to see somebody else winning but this could be a very boring season, one step forward with increased grip, two steps back with increased downforce.

It was a pretty stupid call, they should have forced Vettel to attempt the overtake as overtaking is not easy this year and pitted when they had a good opening.

Yet Mercedes still couldn't overtake Max.

It's going to be a great season. LOL

Australia is never a great place for overtaking.

Is it me or was there very little footage of the mid pack this race as it seemed there were was a bit more going on with it being a bit closer between drivers?

Overall race wasn't too bad, not the most exciting for sure but not as terrible as some make out IMO. Really glad Sen won and hope that they can fight Mercedes all season long but we will have to wait and see on that one.

Also only 13 finishers, quite a few break downs which was a shame.

Not entirely sure that was worth getting up for, but nice to have different result.

In last years race there were 26 overtakes. Not sure how many there were this year. Though there were only 13 finishers this year compared to 16 last year.

Lewis' pace was weird. He was moaning about grip from the get go, and on to his team about the tyres. I imagine even he stayed out, Seb could have potentially had him on the undercut. Look how much faster Lewis was than Seb until he caught Max.

This season could turn into a snooze fest. Everyone up until Massa was lapped, and even he was nearly 80 seconds behind. Kimi, and Max were at good 25 seconds off the lead too.

Bring back V10's get rid of DRS reduce downforce give cars AWD and we will probably have good F1 action again.

I dont understand why they increased downforce this season where there was already too much downforce and aero not allowing drivers to overtake.

Thank God Bernie is gone and hopefully the new owners can salvage F1
