I know we cant exactly quantify the Merc "Qualifyer Boost" as we dont know is held back by the driver before Q3. To get an understanding of whats going on is this literally on the surface an engine map which turns the wick up? Few questions;
- Are there boost limits/fuelling limits?
- Do Merc customer teams have access to this, and should this be a rule that they all do? Renault appear to have more parity with their customer cars considering they are constantly loosing to Red Bull...
- Do we believe there is something underhand happening, would imagine not as someone would have lodged a complaint as been happening for a few years with merc now. Could it be that they have so much tolerance built into their engine that they can turn the power up whilst others are afraid of lunching their engines?
- Lets hope that the race pace is a bit closer tomorrow so we get more of a race!
