Australian Open 2011

Murray looks beaten. Head down, shots seem to be going all over the court (never really inside the lines), body language is bad.

Was hoping it wasn't going to be straight sets but it looks very likely like it will.

He's already bottled it so too late now , just a matter of time :D:D The Colin Montgomerie of tennis :p

Taken from BBC : "Am I right in thinking that if Murray loses in straight sets he will hold the unwanted record of most grand slam finals without winning a set ?"

I've said this many a time before, Murray is the new Henman of tennis, always the runner up as he bottles it in finals. Needs to sort his head out or he'll never win a major.

It can't help having the weight of the country on your shoulders, if Murray was American/Australian he would probably be a 3 times grand slam winner already. :p

im not a fan of murray and he had a great shot for his 1st major open. he has bottled it though which is a shame as it all 1 sided viewing. novak has really come on recently though.

Djokovic looks possessed but the pressure from the British media doesn't help Murray.

I agree, it's always about for queen and country first, just look at the papers yesterday, no one ever bothers about how big an achievenment it would be for him personally.

Still 10 times the player Henman was but its not enough

He isn't 100% fit either that's for sure

Absolutely spot on. For all the bashing he does, he is quintessentially British.

This match reminds me of a skit on 2DTV where Henman is in the final of Wimbledon, 6-0 6-0 5-0 and 40-0 up. Those who have seen it will know what I mean. :D

I could understand the argument for pressure when playing Wimbledon as it would be 24/7, but he is in Australia now and is just another of the players. Yes he would have probably won a couple GS if he was Australian or American not because of less pressure but because they seem to have a winning mentality.
