Austrian Grand Prix 2014, Spielberg - Race 8/19

why all of a sudden is there so much pressure on mercs brakes, they where fine for the first 6 races.

they must now be starting to run the cars close to max.

As they learn more about engines, cut things closer to the edge, and deflect the air differently from front wing changes, the cars go a little faster. Slightly faster cars means slightly more pressure on the brakes. Maybe all getting a little worried about penalties now so wanting to use the engine braking a tiny bit less meaning more pressure on brakes.

Looks like Kvyats suspension failed when he hit the brakes. That reminds me of an incident that Toro Rosso have had in the past with Buemi's front wheels.
