Austrian Grand Prix 2014, Spielberg - Race 8/19

I really get fed up with this "you have to react or it's a mistake", just because one car can maybe go say 30 laps on one set of tires doesn't mean another can. It can be faster to do a couple slower laps on super softs to prevent doing an extra few laps on softs where you are slower at the end of tire wear.

So many strategies have been ruined by pitting too early and ruining other stints with super slow laps on very old tires at the end of the race. Happens time and time again. Race your own race, don't always react.

Hamilton should call himself a early pitstop next stint, go a lap earlier than Rosberg expects too, pull in late and give them not much choice about it, then burn around in clear air, hell if it's 3 laps early to get into a good gap he should.

Is it the same guys that do both cars pitstops for Merc or does each driver have his own team? All season Hamilton's stops have been slower than Nico's…

why all of a sudden is there so much pressure on mercs brakes, they where fine for the first 6 races.

they must now be starting to run the cars close to max.
