What are you on about? Albon from that image clearly had room, why did he not give himself even more by using those kerbs?

Albon is passed, he owes LH no space by going on the kerbs. If he had cut back across LH it would be different, but he just followed his line out of the corner. LH misjudged AA speed through and out the corner due to restart and tyre difference.

Hope it rains next weekend. May as well just keep this thread going.
Personally I’m hoping for a Merc dominated season with LH winning.

It would get awkward if Red Bull dominate on some tracks that we don’t repeat and Mercedes win due to the repeats at tracks that suit their car. Would be much cleaner to have it be a one sided championship with close racing behind the Mercedes.

He owes Lewis no space? Are you insane? How about he uses the kerbs for what they are they for and doesn't make contact? Hilarious :p

So Albon (in front) should take evasive action, but Hamilton shouldn’t?

Let not pretend that Hamilton couldn’t have avoided that if he wanted either. It would have compromised his line but he could have braked to avoid.

It is quite clear, Hamilton knew Albon would be so far ahead at that point, that any little tap on the rear tyre would send him spiralling.
Clear wait, wait wait, and then devastate when the other man is considerably ahead.
Just cynicism.
Tap, End of that guys race.

Which is impressive as hell as it was the front of Albons rear wheel that his the rear of Hamilton's front....

Takes true genius to manage that without launching the other car, wrecking your tyre, bargeboards, wing, suspension...

Still can't see it as anything other than a perfect example of a racing incident.

So much for the stewards 'Let them race's initiative from post Canada last year.

Indeed.

Hamilton took evasive action on that very same corner at the start of the race to avoid the very same collision, are you blind?

Really? Personally I'm hoping to see a load of mixed up exciting races

I'm sorry I fell asleep waiting for you to make your point, what was your point again?

You're missing the point, it's about knowing when to give it up, so you can try again.

Albon has a lot to learn.

Really? Albon needs to learn that a perfectly reasonable overtake should be abandoned?

Maybe LH should learn to not be petulant? He was on the losing side of the marshalls discussions after all....

Love to know what the stewards were smoking?!?
Yes Brazil was his fault and he accepted but Albon drove into his front tyre! Where was he supposed to go?
What’s the difference between this and 2016 with Rosberg?

Crazy race and 2 podiums (ish) in a row for McLaren!

Well done Bottas, his restarts were inspired and he schooled Hamilton today in equal hardware, I'm impressed. He was deliberately setting the restart pace mid corner to upset Hamilton.

Leclerc and Norris were superb too. Vettel proving Ferraris decision making on point for a change.

As for Hamilton and Albon, unfortunate racing incident for Albon and didn't need the penalty as the subsequent passes and contact on that corner showed. It's just a shame Albon was left facing the wrong way in comparison.
