Alonso and Vettel incident to be investigated after the session.

Russell radio - Talk to me! Talk to me!

Pit - So, currently in P10, so we're through. We're through mate. Well done.

Russell - COME ON BOYS! ON THE MEDIUMS! YES! YES YES YES! FELT ******* AWESOME NICE ONE!

Verstappen radio - They literally don't give **** those mechanics. Just send the cars out.

Pit - No I was watching it, you're absolutely right.

I hope that the Netflix camera crew are covering Williams this weekend.

My prediction is that Max is going to cruise to victory by a huge margin tomorrow. Norris will hold up everyone else as he has good straight line speed and they will get stuck in the dirty air.

That was an amazing Quali! Pity I'm missing the race :(

So close from Norris and P9 from Russell. Stunning!

Merc really not cutting it are they. Seems Redbull simply have the better cars now and will win this season.

Verstappen was always tipped to be a champion one day and I think this year is it. But I'm glad to hear that Lewis is signed up for another 2 years, so even if he doesn't break the record of all records, at least he's sticking around for a while yet and maybe he can win his 8th WDC next year or 2023.

Also pleased for Vettel. Everyone used to dislike him, including me, but he's had a rotten time for a few years, takes his losses mostly with a smile, has a good sense of humour, and so it's nice to see he's building some points.

Norris is a future champ too.

Not sure I'm ready to write off Lewis' season yet, but it's certainly uphill from here. Red Bull have the better car, and after Lewis' error in Baku, they have a healthy points lead too.

I said Max would win this years championship in pre season testing and he will..

That merc is a dog and Lewis making it look better than it is currently (and I'm not a lewis fan)

Lewis should have retired. Three years of coming second to Max is going to grate.

Obvious troll is obvious ;)

It's quite possible that Merc and Red Bull won't be the fastest cars next season or the one after that. Just look how Renault became nothing after 2006. Their 2007 car was poor. Look at McLaren and even worse Ferrari in 2009, everyone in 2014.

At the moment though Max's lead is within the realms of reliability. That is never a good thing, especially with the longest ever season.

Well done to the top 3.

Russell was the standout quali driver for me.
Hoping for a better race than last week.

Russell and Bottas saying they will have a Merc engine next season.
But what team will they be in ?

Lando was ahead of Max all the way through their Q3 laps right up to the last corner where Max just got it back:

Super impressive from Lando.
