Avatar: The Way of the water (Dec 2022)

It's a story that's been done a lot, essentially native people getting shifted from their land by a superior force of settlers cause theres something on it or under it they want. Only this time the big twist was its in space. Hardly an inspired storyline at all, once you strip back all the cg it's nothing special at all really.
Bar the revolutionary CGI at the time it was indeed a **** film

I honestly wasn't a fan if the cg of the navii characters, they all seemed to be generic cat people with some features from the human actors pasted onto them. The planet etc looked great, though.

from what i read the original avatar as had all it cgi etc update/upgraded and will be re-release in september this year before avatar 2 hit cinemas. i too saw the trailer in isense and also 3d as when dr strange in 3d. 3d trailer look good but didn't give too much way. it may be released in 4k 3d like battle angel was as i saw in 4k isense which was only time it was done.

Saw the trailer at the cinema was pretty amazing to see but we all know the film itself will be completely gash recycled.

Big oil Vs green/ blue fish people plugging their schlongs into carp and manta ray.

Computer graphics keep getting better, it's gonna have to be ludicrously pretty
Y to keep up with expectations ten years on.

No point watching this on anything but 8k 3d Dolby surround IMAX

As others have said, this didn't impress me at-all in the cinema, the story was so hackneyed to the point of utter boredom, such a wasted opportunity. Nice visuals and story but we only got one.

He really needs to bring more to the table this time around because pretty innocent looking blue things, lots of nice CGI shots and same story as first will be panned as "fool me once.." by critic's.

Watching both the remastered Avatar & Avatar 2 at a Imax Cinema, live near Sheffield they have Imax 4K Laser there.

Anyone seen any movies with 4K Laser? think it will be awesome cannot wait :)

From the title I thought this was going to be the good Avatar franchise. Completely forgot they were making a sequel to Blue Pocahontas.

I think the only reason the first one was such a smash was the whole 3D gimmick. It did look great, but plot wise was just sci-fi Pocahontas. They've left it far too long to do a sequel really. Can't see it doing much.

Partially, for me the whole package of the effects, the graphics, the characters and story is what did it for me.
