Avengers: Infinity War (2018) - *** WARNING: SPOILERS ***

Yes but i would have expected a bit more than a few punches and a slam to make Hulks nuts drop off and go into hiding. Just seemed far too brief of an encounter for it to have had that effect. A scene were he got tossed around, got enraged more then proceeded to take a whipping would have been more effective rather than a few slaps and a slam.

Depends how hard you're getting hit i suppose! i think the hulk differs from ragnarok to this, because we see him attack Surtur who destroys asgard in that, but again Thanos has the power stone.

It was already stated by the director that Thanos was naturally stronger with nigh invincible skin.

His skin technically got pierced twice in this once with that small knife that was later shown to be an illusion, then by thors axe.

Regardless i think it would have made for a better scene showing Hulk getting enraged, getting stronger and then still getting a beating, realistically what did he do to Thanos? Punched him 2-3 times, shoved him into a wall and that was really it.

Obviously they're waiting for part 2 to blow their load on that, but to me Hulk seemed to go into his shell far too easily.

I was expecting hulk to appear in Wakanda.

I actually thought that Bruce would hulk-up whilst in the hulk-buster armour and come bursting out.

He's unbeatable on the battlefield, stronger than the Hulk, skin is invincible. So it's going to cost the Avengers something to defeat him."
The axe shouldn't have gone through though some people in this thread are arguing the characters needed to be partially grounded in reality?

Don’t see the issue with the hulk getting beaten like a little *****. In the comics doesn’t he end up on a lead like a dog and get punched far further than he did in the film.

The point is to humiliate the hulk so you understand that if he didn’t have the outright power no one does to win that way and even combined it’s a lost cause. I like how they did thanos, even though he can crush them all whenever he feels like it he doesn’t feel the need, they are that insignificant.

Blue ray can’t come quick enough!

Saw this on Saturday night.. LOVED IT!
Never seen the Doctor Strange movie but loved the character!
Liked Spideys new suit
Great to see GOTG involved! Groots an adolescent little ****, Drax is funny as always and Rocket being called Rabbit by Thor was funny!
Liked the scene with Stormbreaker as well!
Sad to loose Loki!

Great film! I need to see again really.

But he didn't, that's the problem, he took a few punches a knee and a slam and that was it, it was just far too short of a sequence to have him go into hiding for the rest of the movie. I would have liked to have seen him get angrier after taking a bit of a kicking then Thanos slapping him down with ease, makes Thanos look far stronger and shows Hulk at an incredible disadvantage even when he's in rage mode which makes him stronger. Then i could understand Hulk's nuts dropping off and him going into hiding, the sequence in the movie was just too short to get a sense of Hulk not wanting a round 2 later in the movie.

i think they did hulk fight just right, it showed Thanos was so much more powerful that he teased the hulk then it only took just a few punches to beat him

We don't know that is the reason he wouldn't come out.

So he got slapped around, refuses to reappear, yet we can't draw the conclusion he doesn't want to re-emerge because he got whipped? I think it's pretty obvious that's what they're getting at. imo its the likely conclusion that's possible to draw given what happened to Hulk in this movie, unless they come out with some big bs explanation for something else that's concocted during the next movie.

I wouldn't read too much in to the comics, at this point.

For instance, Thanos literally backhand slaps Captain America and kills him with one hit, such is the impact of the blow. In the movie he held his own for longer than 1s :p

Watched it tonight and really liked it, but is it me or did the action not seem 'epic' enough? I was a bit blase' about it, like the feeling I'd seen it all before? Really hope Vision is back, love love love Paul Bettany in the role and we haven't seen enough of him (or Wanda) imo!

Also loving Thor with Stormbringer, epic combo

In some downtime at work tonight a friend and I decided the first scene in Captain Marvel needs to be a young Nick Fury getting a page and saying:

No idea if he's even around in that film but should get a good laugh to start with :p
