Avengers: Infinity War (2018) - *** WARNING: SPOILERS ***

I wonder if the new Ant Man film will address the half of people that have died/turned to dust, or whether the time frame of the film is different. I understand that the Captain Marvel film goes back in time, but I can't place Ant Man and the Wasp on the current timeline.

It's just before Thanos arrives, at the end of the film MD and MP disappear which results in them joining the remaining avengers in part 2 if I was a betting man

Doesn't make much sense to set it after.

The marvel timelime is all over the place really. GOTG2 is set 6 months after the original but came out 3 years after.

Which is the reason Groot goes from tiny to teenage between that and Infinity war.

Well Groot isn't bound by the human rules of aging... he could grow his arms back in minutes in the first film, so going from tiny to teenage doesn't seem much of a stretch.

I read something that said they changed/removed the name of the next movie because they thought it was a bit of a spoiler....What could it possibly be? Avengers 4 - The One Where They All Come Back.

Also, I wonder what the Captain Marvel movie could introduce that might impact A4?

Ha, him and Tom Holland are infamous for it. Holland was on Kimmel and despite saying how nervous he was about saying spoilers etc he still managed to blurt out about how Spiderman ends up in space. As soon as he said it he stopped, could see him internally thinking **** and the other actors willing him to stop talking.

Even calling it Infinity War part 2 would be a spoiler. There's articles all over the internet from 2016 saying that Infinity War was no longer going to span two films. Very well played by Marvel, IMO.

Two things: can we stick to discussion/spoilers of this movie and not include the the comics and what's coming. Not cool. Not all of us of love the movies also read the comics.

Also: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-...poiler-ending-thanos-marvel-mcu-a8332051.html oopsy.
Can you rephrase the last two sentences so I can understand what you are saying please?
Also I don't see why we shouldn't include the comics since that is where the characters originated.

A knowledge of the comics gives at least an idea of where they might take the story in the next installment, potentially spoiling it for those that have no idea what's coming.

That said, the Civil War storyline was massively toned down from the comics. Although I guess it's still an ongoing, underlying theme.

There's no real direct link just context with the comics. There was also a lot of misdirection from the trailers so assuming the comics are likely to provide an accurate indication towards a plot is a bit of a stretch.
