Awesome work...

Goddamn, I love OCUK's predictability :D

Show anyone who knows tattoos and the response is entirely positive for the guy's work (especially considering the fact that he is only 22 years old), show this merry band of keyboard enthusiasts and you get the usual tripe about 'they will regret it', 'what about when they're 60?' and 'that's average'.

PS: Miami Ink is crap, the artists are average at best (that's a genuine average) and that show and it's ilk are ruining an industry.

Not everyone likes tattoo's my friend :o

Including me. I think they all look awful.

Well considering general population of ocuk, that's hardly surprising. Not a fan of tattoos, but fair do to the guy who can make them well, I can barely draw stickman on paper...

I'm not expecting everyone to. Life would be dull if we all agreed on everything. :)

It's just slightly insulting when the usual crap about 'regret' is bandied about; it is a direct attack on the individual by someone who knows nothing about them.

I agree that yes people do attack individuals based on how they look, and lets face it tattoos do affect that.

That notion aside; do you not agree that there is the danger of regret? Given the skins tendancy to age?

they are very good compared to many but I also fall into the non cool people catagory.

I just cant see myself liking an image so much that I want it forever on me.

But I still like them. :D

Penski i've been meaning to ask you... looking for a black/grey inkist in the south east. It's an intricate piece with a lot of different shades of black and grey. I'm not really even sure how possible it is or how it will scale over time.

Anyone in particular you think i should talk to? Price doesn't matter too much, but it'd needn't be the guy that inks celebrities for a living... iukwim.

I agree. If people like them and want them it's their life.

It's just not for me.

I can appreciate the skill and art that goes into them but they still look horrible in my eyes.

there is nothing nicer than a colourful tattoo on a person,Just a shame i dont have the money to get both arms sleeved.

Only if you regret getting older. Everyone knows that your skin changes as you age and I'm pretty sure that NOBODY gets a tattoo thinking that it will look pristine for life. I think it is quite patronising to assume that age=regret.

My tattoos will look different when I'm older. Will that cause me to regret them? I can't see why it would...And if by some bizarre reason, I do have regrets about them when I am elderly, it is a regret which I would much rather have than regretting not having them when the time was right.

Not a huge fan of tattoos and although I appreciate the skill taken to produce ones in the OP, I still think they look awful on 99.9% of people.

Which is better than anything you posted imo!

This (and the post below) made me go "Holy ****". That is excellent work.

As for the op, I like the chest piece 3rd from the bottom. Which is odd, cause I don't generally like them and that's two I've seen today that I do actually like.

Having seen a lot of Garvers work I have to disagree with you.

Who did do the work in the OP?

Garver's good but he's not brilliant. I'd still call the vast majority of stuff on that show 'average'; they don't make me go 'omfg' when I see them.

The OP is all by Marc of Swastika-Freakshop.de

I can see that you'd think it patronising.

But for everyone who is serious about their tattoos, there are those who aren't and don't realise the implications.
