No joke, Max Vercrashendonado nearly crashed again just now in FP2, he skidded and just managed to swerve away from the barrier, lol. They're all saying he needs to calm down. Apparently the right front of his car still has slight damage presumably from FP1.

Hard to tell. Historically it would be bad for Ferrari and good for Merc as they are able to get more heat into the tyres, but ultimately suffer worse degredation/temperature control at warmer races.

Mercedes have struggled to get tyres up to temperature for the past few seasons, and - indications are - they have the same problem this season.

I think it's both. They seem to have a narrower tyre operating window than other teams. I guess that's part of why Toto describes the car as "a diva".

Agreed. I think it'd be a real shame if a driver of Ricciardo's quality never takes a championship. Comes across as really likeable too.
