Onboard from Gasly and Magnussen on the collision on the second restart (the debris from which punctured Bottas's tyre): https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/...-f1-gasly-magnussen-dangerous-azerbaijan.html

That is absolutely appalling from Magnussen. How he only got 2 penalty points and a 10 second penalty is beyond me; that could have been an automatic race ban alone. Gasly nearly ended up sucking his own balls.

That's very poor from Magnussen, very dangerous. After the contact, he deliberately moved again at the point the track narrowed after the pit entry. He's entitled to, but it feels like he was just embarrassed from drifting into Gasly and wasn't going to allow him past at any cost.

I didn't see that during the race.

TV missed the Magnussen moves. That's atrocious driving, and not his first time either. He was extremely lucky the first move was only a glance of the tyres. If they'd 'bitten' together, as the Minardis did at Monza in 93, it would have been an absolute plane crash. Then he goes on to move across the track and almost put Gasly in the wall... Thoroughly deserving of the points on his superlicence.

It seems an endemic issue with the younger drivers coming up through the sport in the last 5 years, arguably being caused by the fact that the cars are now 'too safe'.

@Mr Jack Chain Bear F1 is my new favourite F1 channel. His explanations and use of animation is very concise and thorough :)

Disgusting by mag.

What is up with the terrible timing screens this year.
Once in quali they all went to 'no time' often it is delayed.
And why do I need to see the drivers full name for about a minute yet the graphic lacks a simply. Colour flag to tell me which tyre is used?

That is absolutely shocking from Magnussen. I hadn't seen that incident. Pure luck that Gasly's car didn't flip at some huge speed. The FIA are really setting a dangerous precedent by not punishing these drivers more severely. Such driving is unnecessary. I would fully support a race ban for that tbh. I really don't get the penalty point system, it never results in a ban and doesn't really seem to be a deterrent.

Madness by Magnussen. Many drivers have had experiences like this with him.

I missed this incident during the coverage. Now watching back, I have to agree this type of racing, aggressive blocking to the extent of seeing red and running a competitor into a wall, its only a matter of time. Magnussen comments regarding death in a car - I get the Senna myth but, there is a point where racing very dirty just borders on damn right cheating/dangerous? Verstappen is another one.

You only have to watch the Jeff Krosnoff accident - This behaviour needs to be stamped out.
