**B-GRADE: HOT DEALS TO BE HAD!!**

OK so I got my B-Grade 27" Asus Monitor today....and it's just fine, Massive..but fine lol..came with all the leads too...£120....job done :)

I bought the Asus 27" 144hz 3d version it came with nothing but the monitor. No power lead, no cables. oh well...as long as it works. I'll have to test when my dvi cable comes. any issues and I'll send it back.

Bugger!!!....I got two spare ones here lol

and a change on that monitor price i gave...I should have said £100 :D

Paid my money and took my chance monitor arrived bang on time with dpd yet again.

Before this starts to sound like a rant .... its not .... am fully aware that I took a chance with "b" grade and the panel itself from a preliminary looks good with nothing untowards in the way of dead/stuck pixels.

But the condition of the monitor carcas is atrocious, it absolutely beggars belief that "overclockers" would accept something like this back knowingly.
There are noticeable scratches allover have tried to point out the more obvious ones and very fine almost scuffing effect pretty much everywhere.
It has been returned no doubt but after how long this kind of cosmetic damage takes time plus there is a "residue" all around the edges that absolutely does not budge its almost as if someone has wiped the perimeter with a really nasty cloth with some kind of chemical on it eeek!
Putting that to one side I cleaned very carefully as best I could then noticed a small round circular thingummy whatsit next to the power on led it was slightly bevelled inwards even with a very carefull dusting (I am not heavy handed with my stuff) whatever the piece of plastic was for evidently was so loose it came away and is now inside the monitor.

"B" grade yes the panel absolutely fine love it the caseing etc an absolute disgrace.

That's pretty bad :( The last pic mine also has a few of those marks on the top, never noticed them before. Everything else is ok tho. Is your panel ok, no dead pixels or anything?

Wow mr T your monitor looks like it's been through hell and back. My Asus 27" 144hz looks brand new and still has all the platic sticky stuff all over it. I just haven't tested yet as I have no dual link dvi cable:(

Mine has those marks on the top too. The rest seems to be ok but I can't comment on pixels since I don't have a working power supply, lol.

Should still work at 1080p tho for testing?

It should ,but I want the full 144hz to test. That's how I am;)

Edit: I guess I could use my dvi-d cable if it works? The monitor only has a Dual Link DVI and VGA. Theirs no way in hell I'm using VGA. If it works I'll report back after dinner.

That is pretty bad, I'd be DSRing it if it was mine. Not that I'd have purchased another DGM monitor but that is beside the point! lol

Bit disappointing that my order has been unfulfilled :(, anyone else with this issue?

I ordered mine yesterday at 3.30pm and it still "Printed in our Warehouse" according to my account. Waiting for a cancellation notice as it looks like they won't be posting one today.

No dead or stuck pixels just have the wrong cable. Went into Nvidia control center and the 144hz option was there but it said I need a dual link cable. I tried it anyways and the screen went all funny. lol Can't wait until I get my dl cable tomorrow.

So fay the only issue I see is there's a little light bleed, on the left bottom and right bottom, but it's very little I didn't even take notice or see it now.

God damn is this monitor HUGE! A little bit bigger then I thought. The screen is so big it's like DAMN!! IN YOUR FACE B****! hahaha It might not be big in the pic, but let me tell you this thing is Massive!

Very happy. Extremely happy in fact:D

My laptop has been at that status since half 9 this morning, but it's still showing on the website as there being 2 in stock so fingers crossed!

Glad it's all good for you, that was my second choice of monitor but went for this instead. Soooo glad I did. ;)

Hopefully once I get my replacement power supply (sometime this year) mine will work fine too. Just glad I didn't sell my old monitor first.

Are you absolutely sure 100% positive ..... that its big enough for you? :D

lol:D

Hope you get it sorted very quick:)
