Putting together a new build for streaming. The components I currently have on my table are:

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Processor
Team T-Force Night Hawk RGB 16GB 3200MHz Memory Kit
3 be quiet! Silent Wings 3 High Speed Fans
Hyper 212 Black Edition Cooler
Nvidia GeForce 2060 RTX Founders Edition
Crucial MX500 500GB M.2 2280 SSD
NZXT H200 Case
Antec EarthWatts Gold Pro 550W

I have all the components ready apart from the motherboard which I deliberately left till last to order, any suggestions on a quality ITX board?

has one of the best VRMs due to using new IR 3556 units , not as much amps as older 3555 but have been designed to handle more heat and offload it quicker .
two causes of coil whine, PSU and caps - every unit will have it, though might not be audible. best way to cure it (lesson it) is by running it hard for extended periods of time. Why you should always run GPUs with Unigine at 1080p for 2/3 hours to bed the caps in .

helps someone do Intel version in that case, looked good.

Recommend this cool

plus you;; have UK RMA on the giga board... incase EU shipping goes a bad way- see ASRock thread about being asked to supply £20 for TAX in the box !

As usual, sound advise.

That's unacceptable from ASRock and will now avoid these.

I take it the ITX is different to it's bigger brothers?

I remember Hardware Unboxed giving Gigabyte and ASUS a hard time over it's VRM.

z370 boards from Gigabyte were shocking... hence z390 came along and threw the kitchen sink at it. went from 4 phases to 10 on their ENTRY board...

b450 was designed from their z390 itx, Just misses two phases which is a shame

with the z390, gigabyte got buildzoid on board to test the boards asap, and his views were a U Turn from the z370 .

x570 is slightly better then z390 range

think the Aours X570 ITX is 7 phases or 6 like its z390 counterpart - slightly better heatsink

Would you say that the Gigabyte ITX is the best out of the bunch, B450 wise?

Had my eye on the Asus Strix, super expensive though and considering if it's worth the cost over that giga board?

I've just watched a video on YouTube featuring Buildzoid, Gamers Nexus. He only mentions this board for APU performance, no mentions of 8 core, etc.

Always liked gigabyte boards, I have the AB350 Gaming 3 still currently in my main setup and has been solid from day 1.

The ITX has all the features and specs I want, especially the audio etc.

Glad I can call upon you folks for advise as it's giving me more to think about.

Sounds like you've made your decision - solid board, great make and the security of UK RMA and forum rep support plus it looks preeeeedy.

@ExRayTed called it from the start - you just needed coaxing.

Bouncing opinions always helps with the process.

Coaxing probably, also just needed some reassurance before ordering. It's fairly cheaper and that also helps the decision.

Perhaps I should start asking for build pics too, best ones get shared on the GIGABYTE AORUS social media pages.... !?!?! hmmm, I'll see if I can get this arranged.

That's a great idea!

Be a week or so before I share my build, might make some changes, add some extra RGB goodness maybe?

Looking forward to learning the art of streaming.

Need advise on an ITX case that will fit the Hyper 212 Black Edition cooler?

Just opened my NZXT H200 package to discover it was full of scratches and dents, looked like Wolverine owned it!

Any good suggestions?

You don't want to exchange - the odds of Wolverine returning 2 cases of the same type would be very unlikely?

I like these for similar price - lines aren't as clean as the NZXT:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Note difference between Evolve/Enthoo - big intake fan at the front no rear outtake.

Phanteks Evolv ITX Glass Mini-ITX Case in black looks sweet, I was looking earlier at it on the Phanteks website.

They're great value - and one of those cases that looks better in the flesh.

I'm considering, among others, the P660S Silent for my Ryzen build in July - but without window as silence (and lack of light) is key for me.

I agree, think I'll order that on Thursday. Great price, judging by the images is that an SSD caddy on the back of the motherboard tray?

No, it's a mix (look at second review 40 seconds in) - the top, front fascia and side panels are painted metal (chassis is steel construction)- but if you look at the front surround, that is plastic as is the feet from the looks (again study video) - but the front panel, that slots within surround, is metal from review description and looks (the back of it is plastic for connection purposes).

I've worked on the larger models and they're more premium - the MATX version.

Not sure that an ITX board would like that good in a MATX chassis, I do like the Phanteks case though and not sure if anything else will fit the bill for the system I have?

Unless there's something else I've not researched into yet?

I do appreciate the time you've given!

@Plec - Update!

I'm hoping the Hyper 212 Black Edition will fit,. The clearance from the fan to the memory might prove to be a tight fit, 1-2mm in clearance!

Any recommendations on an AIO just in case the cooler doesn't squeeze in?

@Plec - I've heard about Scythe in the past but never used or considered these coolers before? Thanks for the heads up, would this have sufficient clearance over the memory I've chosen?

@tamzzy - This case looks ace, does OcUK stock this and suitable for air coolers of 155mm?

@Plec - You got me sold on that cooler, will be ordering this Wednesday. I think I'm outside the return window on the Hyper 212 with OcUK?

Missed this - you have 14 days from receipt of goods - when did you order/receive it?

But, even if you're slightly outside they may consider a swap as it's an upgrade. As long as the box is in same condition etc...

14th April, box and contents remain untouched?

Try a post in here and explain your situation and perhaps direct them to this thread proving that you've been actively trying to piece your build together rather than sitting on components watching time pass.

As you're getting the Mugen - does that mean you're getting the Phantek case? If so, and it's from OcUK, that may get you a bit more goodwill on their part. I've always found them to be very helpful in the Customer Services Forum, and they'll usually try their best to accommodate you if it's a reasonable request.

I've just this second done as advised, I'm about 90% sure the Phanteks will be the chosen one, obviously will be ordered from OcUK.

Case plus cooler (plus other parts?) and you're within a reasonable time period, i.e. 28 days, you stand a better than average chance of getting it exchanged. As mentioned, they try to accommodate as much as they can and your request isn't unreasonable.

Best of luck.

Thank you for the advise, I've ordered a fair bit from them. Fingers crossed this weekend it will be all up and running without any hitches!

Spent far too much time researching, should be a good setup from what I have in front of me now.
