Poll: Bacon: back vs. streaky

Following on from http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18371745, I felt a poll was in order to establish whether members prefer back or streaky bacon in their bacon sandwiches / rolls / butties?

Would a passing mod be kind enough to create one please. My preference is definitely for streaky, as I feel it's got more flavour.

Four possible options: smoked streaky, smoked back, unsmoked streaky, unsmoked back?

I would hope it does since it's vastly better. Besides which, let me explain polls to you: it's not just who wins but by how much .

I've always been pro-back, but recently I'm seriously enjoying streaky. It has more flavour, whereas back has meaty texture locked down.

Tough choice, probably the most difficult one I've had to make all day.

loving the streaky these days tbh! Cooked on a griddle and drained on kitchen roll - nice and crispy

definitely streaky for using in recipes like soups, or wrapping round things.

rather than back bacon, I'd prefer a gammon steak tbh

Definitely streaky (unsmoked normally), cooked slowly to render the fat out so it's nice and crispy.

smoked streaky. maple cure is even better.

Can get a proper crunch on streaky.

Smoked back for sarnies and if possible as above maple cured! I reserve streaky for cooking - stuffing etc.

Unsmoked back for me. Meaty, good flavour and you can still crisp the edges up!

Never liked streaky, could be I've not had much luck with it when I've had it but its always been too fatty/stringy. Much prefer back, well cooked.

Our Butcher, sells the Maple Cured bacon, its is taste amazing, and the best I have ever eaten.
