How do I cook mine? I read threads like this and then glare at it in a cold pan until it crisps nicely.

Honestly, why do people still think fat is bad for you? Or that by removing fat you somehow make something "healthier"?

Damn you last centuries nutritional science! Veggies, the lot of you! :mad:
 
I buy Lidl Black Forest or Parma ham and microwave it for 30 sec. More expensive than bacon but it is much tastier and a lot less fat and additives, so works out about the same price as bacon on a taste basis
 
No sauce is much nicer wth bacon.

The only time the overpowering flavours of red/brown sauce are ever justified is when using cheap flavourless bacon, in which case you shouldn't be bothering with bacon at all.

Bread + butter + good bacon = all you need.
 
Bacon is serious business. Hard to even guess at how many bacon sandwhiches get consumed every single day in the UK.

I personally prefer square sausage to bacon, but thats another debate all together :)

Visited my parents two nights ago, they were about to put dinner on which was pork chops. Since they only had two I got one of the pork chops and my dad sneakily grilled 4 bits of bacon and one square sausage all to himself. It looked and smelt far superior to the pork chop :( Damn him!
