Bad Company 2 Tips :)

Nothing wrong with hardcore mode, not sure why people are slating it as being 'easy'. IMO having a permanent map, ammo count and red triangles is easier than having nothing but increased weapon damage. Having to put an extra 5/6 rounds into someone doesn't require more skill, it's just frustrating. Someones aim doesn't change depending on damage count.

I play mostly on HC servers yet my accuracy isn't dreadful - http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/stats?persona=226606393&platform=pc - go figure.

Onto some tips..

Get into the action, rack up the points, the more the merrier. If your going to play as Recon then play offensive, push into good close positions rather than sitting miles away and getting 5 kills to 0 deaths. Find yourself a decent few servers with skilled players, you'll point up faster.

Play your own game, if you prefer to support than simply sit back and use your perks to help your team mates, revive players, etc

What James said :)

I also just prefer HC, Ive played normal but as in all games, if there is a HC mode, Ill play it over normal.

I just prefer the fact that it takes a few hits to kill someone, makes it more realistic, not quite up to Darkest Hour standard but pretty close! :D

ill give you the red triangles , put having to hit someone an extra 5 times does require skill yeah it's annoying but there's skill involved
Not saying hardcore is easy but my kill ratio improves :D

Being able to die faster/kill quicker also makes it far more difficult to defend/take objectives.

In normal mode BC2 turns into an arcade shooter with objectives, at least for me. Reminds me of Counterstrike or COD which is Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. :p

The thing i've noticed between the two, is that people aren't wusses in normal mode, i see very few people on a hardcore server go for an objective due to the fear of getting one shotted, despite you can get one shotted on a normal server, it's just not so blatant if you understand.

Both of them have their pros and cons, and i tend to jump between the two of them, as i've found in the past that i've picked up skills from playing both modes, the main one would be when i automatically decided to zigzag to avoid enemy fire, that helped me survive a lot on hardcore mode and it also does on normal mode as well, just that i get added 'armour' on normal mode so it doesn't matter as much.

Play on the server mode you feel most comfortable with, try not to camp, help your team and have fun.

Yes you have to hit them 5 extra times, but it's just stupid to allow someone to absorb so much damage and then run off rather than just dying like they should.

If you can make 2 hits, then an extra 5 isn't going to hurt you.

If anybody wants to play, post your username. I'll be about most of tonight :)

i THINK mines thorps

[m2sick] thorps

I am also new to this game and i SUCK i am Very good on PS3 on COD, MAG, red dead can pretty much always come in the top two for each match and on CSS i get mid way up the board but i just cant get the hang of BBC2 i sit there shooting the hell out of people and they dont die but one bullet from them and im dead starting to put me off a little now tbh

OK i just went as a medic on BBC2 and got my best score ever 16 kills and 5 deaths, seems that being a medic over assault makes a huge difference :D much more enjoyable
