Bad Experience

OP done well.

Quote" Our second place cube was Mckenzie's mouth. This took a total of 6 minutes and 53 seconds."

As I said you would be brain damaged or dead in 6 minutes. Also the is pulmonary edema aftereffect which can be deadly.

But is that for it to melt completely, or just enough so that is no longer lodged in place?

Wow a guy tells the story of how he found his daughter scared and choking, GD decides this is hilarious!

OP glad your daughter was indeed ok following your swift actions!

GD YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

Sounds like you need to... "chill"... Amiright? :D

Cool story bro .................

I did read something the other day about family of
Heimlich have copied writed the term Heimlich maneuver? So it's no longer called that in first aid books?

I remember reading that the heimlich manoeuvre isn't the first choice for choking and that its recommended that you apply blows to the back first and only use the heimlich is absolutely necessary due to risk.

The guy ended up being highly discredited for his other claims and some very dodgy practice.

Yeah, this is what I was taught in a recent first aid course, Heimlich works, but is quite easy to break ribs, and blows to the top of the back is far safer

wow, didn't know that. last I heard the Heimlich was recommended because thumping someone on the back simply didn't work. can you do both at the same time to make sure? :-D
