Bad Experience

Anyone choking you need to move fast and very fast. Its one of them things where you have about 2 minutes max. Any longer then they will collapse and hypoxia will set in, they will be dead or brain damaged in 6 minutes.

Good for you OP. ;)

Thanks and thanks also for dragging the thread out of the gutter. ;)

My daughter is two, and I remember the first time we had her on solid food and she got a bit of cut up sausage stuck in her throat. Scared the absolute hell out of me. Well done OP for acting quickly.

Happened to me a few months ago on some steak off the bbq. I was choking and no breath, the wife thought I was joking or just hoping for the life insurance to pay out. I had to put fingers down my throat and jolt it out took me a few attempts to grab a bit of it. Choking is so easy to die from I know that now.

I would've given her something much safer to suck on

(But seriously, good job and glad she's ok, can't be easy to witness )

You're getting just as bad as Tefal now! :p

One of my partners old neighbours actually died from choking on a pork chop. I kid you not!

but I'm wondering what would have happened if I hadn't been there?

If on you're own, one method is hit your back against the wall and hope for the best (or she could have waited patiently for the kettle to boil, pour the boiling water down her throat - voila! Ice cube meltiness!)

Wow a guy tells the story of how he found his daughter scared and choking, GD decides this is hilarious!

OP glad your daughter was indeed ok following your swift actions!

GD YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.
