Bad Weddings

Went to a wedding once that was a mess. Bride's dad wanted to go home halfway through, groom's dad spent the whole time with his mates and some didn't even bother turning up after RSVP'ING as they didn't believe in a 'mixed' marriage. Groom looked like he wanted to run away and bride was stressed with the mother-in-law being a nightmare.

Still, 16 years and we're still going strong

We did the Vegas thing, neither of us could be arsed with all the faff of a proper wedding, and our families are so far spread out all over the world that only a small fraction of them would've even made it.

Wow so you expected it would be a ruined wedding

Yup, expected that family would not behave for a day, lots of stress between that and other things going on in our life so made it a nice relaxed holiday for a week.

@Diddums - I'm quite jealous as I was very in favour of a Vegas-get-married-by-elvis wedding. The neon museum looked like a cool place.
