Bahrain Grand Prix 2010, Sakhir - Race 1/19

Imperious drive from Alonso, unlucky for Vettel and Hamilton did well in a McLaren that was quite at the top pace. Schumi will be frustrated to finish behind Rosberg but probably drove a better race than his team mate which bodes well for him in later races.

Nice to see a Lotus finish.

Holy crap, it's worse than ever.

For the least few years F1 has been one of the most boring motorsports going. And this years rule changes did nothing to help.

Need to change the aero rules, reduce downforce by at least 50%, make the cars wider and give them bigger tracks. More mechanical grip, less aero is whats needed.

Well that was an anti climax. I was really looking forward to this season with so many changes being made but even as a Ferrari fan I found it boring. If this is an indication of whats in store for the rest of the season then its going to be a long season. The only overtaking amongst the good cars was down to reliablility issues andn there never really looked like being any overtaking.

Mclarens trick rear wing does not give them the advantage that Brawn had at the start of last season with the double diffuser. This track has 3 decent straights which should have suited the Mclaren but the Ferrari and probably the Red Bull are faster cars.

It might not be a popular view here but I'm glad Alonso and Ferrari did the job. A perfect combo.

Lotus did superbly. It may sound shallow, but I just hope they keep the colours through the season, if not, they'll just be another team...

Other than that it was all a bit too static, but at least we'll be at a proper (sort of) track next race.

The McLaren appears to be down on downforce compared to the Red Bull and Ferrari - the 3-5km/h straight line advantage won't help around corners.

Somewhere like Monza will suit the McLaren more at this point.
