Bahrain Grand Prix 2012, Sakhir - Race 4/20

What are you on.

There would be people at Mercedes analysing the qualifying session. they will be in contact with Michael's race engineer. If they say he should go out again, he would go out again. He's hardly going to say, no thanks guys.

Anyway, as we've now seen, Merc had a technical issue, so it makes no odds. Had the Caterham not improved by 1.4 seconds, Michael might not have been able to run again anyway.

Indeed, MS would be listening to what the team was saying.

Welcome to Racing Drivers Excuses 101.
Next lecture will be given by Jenson Button on balance.

:D

Eh?

Are you telling me that MSc would be just a pilot, while wrong decisions are being made around him?
No way!

Mercedes will make their recommendations, but if MSc wants to over-rule those recommendations, he will do so. MSc is not some rookie who will follow orders to the letter (even if he knows that the decision is wrong).

MSc is just as much to blame as Merc.

Lol. Its not a 1 man band. He can't just jump in the car, start it up and drive off. He needs the team around him to start the car and stick the fuel in etc. There would have been a discussion, and the team would have decided not to go out. At that point its a team decision.

even with no drs they should have sent him out on softs and he probably would still have been faster than all the rear end cars that were using drs.

DRS failfure so they didnt bother to send him out again

why is it always schumachers car that has the problems? merc are a joke no other top team has so much quality control problems

his lap was fine apart from a 23.8 last sector because of no drs

A DRS problem could be pretty nasty, if is doesn't close on braking, or opens mid corner.

Was the DRS to blame for the scruffy lap, or was it just a mistake?
