Personally no but people break legs all the time and eventually walk again, he hasnt lost his leg.

I have in 2 places its not straight forward rehabilitation.

I'm not sure that's necessarily a broken leg. Having watched that video a few times he was basically shoved out of the way by the wheel. He might be lucky and come off with a few bruises, perhaps a minor fracture?
