These grid penalties are a joke. Why should Hamilton have been penalised five places because his car had a hydraulic leak?

I'd love to watch an onboard of his lap, just to see how hard he was pushing the car. Seriously impressive time.

While I agree that it seems a shame to penalise a driver for something he didn't have much control over, I'm not sure what else they can do. Maybe a loss of constructors' championship points would be fairer?

Yey for another boring race where there will be no actual racing at all but Vettal will win so TheStig will give it 10/10 to bring the average score up a little.

Yes, losing constructors' points would make more sense for teams with mechanical failures or who allow unsafe pit lane releases. Drivers should only be penalised if they cut corners, obstruct drivers or cause danger to drivers on the grid.
Also, Johnny Herbert is a terrible interviewer and presenter.
Thoughts:
F1 must be the only sport in the world that makes it impossible to get an audio (let alone video) stream on the internet, they need to get with the times.

I'll just wait for the highlights to show for the race. I'm really not excited about this one, or F1 in general at the moment to be fair. I've found that I'm watching out of habit more than anything.
Its supposed to be a really nice day tomorrow and i'd rather spend the day out up in the hills than sit in and watch this, I'm not even going to avoid the results.

Recorded the quali, just went to watch it, heard Hamilton has a 5 place penalty. Turned it off.
Will watch the first lap tomorrow but if there's no change in the order then I will probably skip the rest.

What kind of fan just watch for one driver? Obviously F1 isn't in a great place at the moment, and I've no problem with having a favourite, but surely no F1 fan just watches for a single driver, and turns off if they don't look like winning!

They should have given it to a promising driver on a 1 year contract, and told Rici it was his if wanted it. Bottas had never shown enough promise to deliver, and - IMO - he's proved what I said about him right since.
