ballistix dying

I have had my Ballistix for over a year and had to return them twice, do you think overclockers will swap them for something else...I'm fed up paying £4 PP to get another faulty set.

Ask Crucial for a refund instead of a new set.

Unfortunatly when I enquired about returning my faulty set to OCUK I was told by Matthew Street of Technical Supporthat that it had to be "like for like" and that I could not have them replaced with any other memory, so I ended up RMA'ing them to Crucial direct, whom by the way give great support and customer care; I just hope the next replacement set is ok...I have been told that they have run out of stock and will be getting more in around the 28th of this month.

I'm sorry to hear that you could'nt exchange them for an alternative make but then again you might be alright with the new set. When they're a good set they are brilliant - otherwise just a pain in butt.

Crucial need to sort this issue out, every time i look in the memory section i see the same old story.

they arnt going to sort it out, as aparently there isnt any "issues" however they have stopped selling 1gig chips, since aparently demand is too low.......

mine are going back for the final time tomorrow, however all the stuff i orderd from here has still not even been proccessed

They stopped making 1Gb Ballistix sticks, keep what they have for RMA's and they are busy producing DDR2 sticks for the upcoming AM2 release.
