'Band of Brothers' is just astonishing

One thing I wonder is when they get to the prison camp. How did they get the actors to look like that? Just casted very skinny ones or used a hell of a lot of make up and clothing tricks?

Always thought about that myself. Might have to do some research. :) Edit: this might explain a few things

Anyway, time for my yearly first re-watch of this amazing TV show. I watch BoB 3 times a year as it is a, relatively, 1) short TV series, 2) the best TV series ever made, and 3) the best Tv series ever made. I need some motivation to crack on with my WW2 wargaming terrain boards and get back into playing Bolt Action so I think a re-watch of this show will rekindle that somewhat.

It's my most played BluRay set, not only because its a picture but the sound is terrific, even on a cheapo sound bar. Hmmm, might have to get my surround sound amp and speakers out again.

Anyone else going to re-watch this now I have bumped a thread. :p I bet there will be.

Yeah, I have watched it a few times... Not 3 a year I grant you, but enough to know I love it.

I also watched the Pacific too for the first time not that long ago, and we are going to watch it the second time in the next few weeks.

My wife and I are in the WWII mode and are going through all my documentaries about that war right now...

Interesting and sickening at the same time.
You would think that people would learn, but they say that history repeats itself and when you look at what the governement is doing, especially in the UK with the populastion controls and not being allowed to protest anymore and the police coming round to warn you about certain posts you make on the internet, you can see how things like the NAZI will come back wit hthat level of utterly ridiculous government control.

And the US is no better! They are doing all kinds of under-handed tactics to make you either love or hate whoever is in power and most of you dont even see it.. The entire world does though!

yeah I know, slacking. Could easily watch it every month to be honest. It's not hard for me to watch something on repeat. When my cousin (lived with myself and my grandmother back in the late 80s, early 90s) had Aliens on VHS, I watched it pretty much after school every day for a good month or so.

i love BoB but 3 times a year! you mentalist :p that said, i'll now have to dig out my boxset and give it a re-watch.
