Bank error in your favour, collect £... ?

On several occasions when I've asked to return something with Amazon they have issued a "returnless refund" so I got to keep the item and got a refund. Recently this was the case for a Corsair RM850x PSU and a while back a Razer Huntsman keyboard so in total I've had over £200 of freebies.
They let me keep a £180 CPU and they once randomly refunded a £120 SSD that I didn't return.

a lot of blanks user peoples accounts to practice money transfers.
one Aunt had £2000 added out of the blue in the 1980's and after asking and checking with the banks 3 times insising it wasnt theirs, the bank said it was, they went and spent the money.
Not long after the bank came back to them and they had to pay it back as it was mis transfered...
twas a lot of money in the day especially with kids and times as they were.

Yeah Amazon is pretty liberal with refunds. On a much lesser extent I ordered some fischer sink fasteners (£8?) and when I tried to return them, they refunded and let me keep them.

I've also had some Echo Buds refunded and they let me keep them.

And I have had 2 or 3 Hue bulbs go wrong in quick succession and they've refunded the full package (£55 EchoDot+Bulb) and 2 twin packs of Hue Bulbs (2x £16).

Low priced stuff they often don't want back I find.

Not a bank error but an old job continued to pay me after I left. My 1st real job at 17 was office work on a year contract, my sick record was bad as I was just starting to get ulcerative colitis. About a month before my contract was due to end I was signed off for a month, during that time 30 of the 32 who started with me were told they wouldn’t be keep on.

Knowing I wouldn’t be keep on I just never went back after my sick note ran out, I didn’t tell them as my contact was up anyway. Just never went back in, they stopped paying me for 2 weeks but then started to again. Lasted maybe 6 months on full pay then just stopped again.

Parents bought a kitchen from MFI years ago and borrowed a van to pick it up. As it was being loaded up, we thought there seemed rather a lot of stuff going in. We knew something was definitely up when the second kitchen sink went in :p

Two kitchens for the price of one, meant they could do their utility room out too :D

No wonder they went out of business..

Not a bank but Bet365... Had a bet on the world cup final which would win me around £800 profit. I only needed one more card given in the game but it was looking very unlikely so I cashed out half. The bet ended up coming through in the last minute of the game(!) and instead of getting the full payout on just the 50% stake I had left.. they credited me with the full win on the full pre cashout stake..... No idea why but I withdraw it asap and they never said anything.

Bought a micro SD card on Amazon, not noticing that the seller wasn't Amazon themselves. Turned out to be a fake, literally just a piece of plastic - not even a lower rated card wrapped up as better!
Amazon refunded me, AND let me keep it! Winning :p
