Bank Holiday Weekend Footy Spoilers

Congrats to chelsea, definately the best team of the season, just so damn consistent!

Anyways i wanna say well done to liverpool, an excellent season, and Rafa is a great manager. i cant believe we have 79 points with Man U, i guess they are both on Championship form but Chelsea are even better :(

The top 3 teams have been significantly better than the rest of the league and it basically showed that chelsea won the championship by beating liverpool and Man Utd in their head-to-heads in the league; if those results were reversed then it would have a 3 way chase for the title!

Heres hoping we win next year :)

Still not sure on Pires, great player, one of the best scoring midfielders of his generation but has lost his pace. Wouldn't mine seeing N'Zogbia coming in.

He will be a very good player if he stays at Newcastle.
Wenger would turn him into a great.

Preston 2, Leeds 0

If leeds play that badly next week, play off final here we come. They never really got into the game, we could have had 3 or 4 i would have said, they only had one real chance from a free kick which went wide.

LOL@Berger :p

That match was a complete non-event, and we had our second string out. The playoffs will be an entirely different proposition.

No Cresswell, Derry, Hulse, Lewis, Butler, Kelly, Crainey, Miller, Bakke, Einarsson in the side. Those plus Healy, Sullivan, Killgallon and a couple of others have been our main team all season.

I've heard a rather disturbing rumour too. That ER has been booked for for corporate events on the date of the 2nd leg of the playoff semi. Meaning Leeds would've lost out on a lot of money had they played the 2nd leg at home.

I hope thats not why they put out a 2nd string.

Looks like we'll have to win the CL in order to play in it next year then.

Spurs last game is against West Ham. With European football guaranteed and the FA Cup Final looming I'd fully expect West Ham to rest a load of players and not get anything out of the game.

If Bolton got a result today, I reckon Wenger would've gone for it in the last remaining games and fielded a strong team in every remaining game.

As it stands, 7 points behind, I think Wenger can't see West Ham getting anything from the last game and will now rest a lot of first team players and not bother too much about the last 3 games in the hope of having a fully fit, fresh first team against Barca.

Just got back from the Spurs game and my voice is gone. It was nice to see so many Barcelona shirts on display today. :D

I don't think Spurs really justified the win it but Lennon's goal was superb. He deserved that for his contribution all season.

Was it a penalty towards the end? I didn't see it. ;)

Even if Spurs don't get into the CL, everyone at Spurs deserves the highest praise. Everyone from the chairman, to the manager, to the players has done brilliantly this season.
