Barcelona v Real Madrid

Yes I have seen it the quality of teams ronaldo scores against isn't great it was the same in the premier league ronaldo can win u the league by destroying average teams but he will never be a match winner in the big games like steven gerrard or messi ronaldo is a good player but no where near the best in the world in my opinion.

Just a few off the top of my head from his time at United. Should also add that he has scored goals against all the traditional "big" Premiership teams during his time at United so to say he doesn't score in big matches is a load of rubbish.

He scored two goals last night against Valancia to win the game for Madrid. Valancia are not an average team. Not as strong without Villa or Silva but still a strong side.

btw, the goals didn't come till the last 15 minutes.

People say Ron doesn't pass the ball much but with 16 goals in La Liga, who cares.

Goal against Chelsea in the final he was in the right place at the right time and had a free header he done nothing else in that final than score a lucky goal also missed a penalty in the shoot out trying to show off in the champions league final well done. Goal against arsenal was terrible goal keeping and Porto is one of the best teams in the world??? Although it was a great shot. Against inter didn't see anything great so Ye he still sucks lol. Also what did ronaldo do in the world cup nothing. And against ac Milan diving pretending he got hit in the face he is pathetic.

Ronaldo is a world class player regardless of his world cup performance and in the barca match, If we used the but he sucked a world cup line then hell Gerrard/Rooney/Torres/Messi to name a few none of them did anything amazing at the world cup so they must all suck?

Nope they dont. Hell ill agree i from what we see on TV Ronaldo doesnt seem to have such a nice attitude but as a player he is very very good.

Messi didn't do anything either. Your logic is flawed. The players that did the most in the WC aren't doing too much in the league right now. Drogba isn't scoring much, Forlan, Klose and Muller aren't either. Those were the stand out players in the WC.
 
sucked in CL final against Barca as well, hes a pretty selfish and petulant player.

No denying hes a great talent but can go missing

Yeah, you're right, Ronaldo was just "in the right place at the right time" 42 times that season. The following year he scored twice vs Arsenal to send us through, having scored the only goal of the tie vs Porto to send us through. He had scored in 2008 vs Lyon to send us through and then got our only goal vs Chelsea. He was also voted player of the tournament in the 07/08 Champions League and was top scorer, having scored in all but one of the knockout games. These are all big, high pressure situations and he came up with the goods several times.

And, to borrow your words, "what did messi do in the world cup nothing. And against Real Madrid diving pretending he got hit in the face he is pathetic".

There's a cigarette paper between these two players and I wish people would stop arguing about who's better!

Actually messi got lots of assists in the world cup he played well just didn't score and look at ronaldo vs barca in the cl semi/final see how well he played I don't care about goals vs Lyon and Porto I don't even care about goals it's about playing well and making Ur team play well to be the greatest u have to consistently perform at the top level ronaldo doesn't xavi sneijder messi iniesta all do

but he has the most goals in the league. :confused: He scores in pretty much every game he plays. How is that not performing on a constant basis?

This is true, Messi played well in the world cup (not his highest standards, but better then a lot of players) but couldnt get on the score sheet (Hit the post lots though :p).
Ronny just went missing, completely.

Look at my original post I said ronaldo wins u the league by destroying average teams when it comes to the truly big games he does nothing so people stop saying he scored 42 goals in a season all of them were against average teams in la liga it's the exact same u can't be the greatest if u don't perform against the best teams. He doesn't play well in general against big teams He doesn't have to always score against the big teams to be the best he always shows poor performances against them and never does anything special.
 
With any mourihno team, each and every player has a duty to defend, just look at eto, when he was at Barcelona his never bothered to defend. Once with inter and mourihno he duty was to defend as well as attack. Now looking at real Madrid team, ronaldo, ozil and others just attack and don't bother to defend like it's below them. I think mourihno will have to train them to defend as well as attack. There's no doubt that real Madrid can attack but they cannot defend as well as Barcelona.

He isn't worth 80m, but he deserves the hype.
