BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

Amazing price, so is it definatly PVA Panel ? Sorry 6 pages long lol

Would be a blessing if it had 1.1/1080p and HDCP but regardless if it dont at that price and if its PVA makes it a better buy over my Samsung 245B.

I've been doing some investigating and found these details:

Manufacturer: Yuraku
Model: YV24WBH1 (MB24W)
HDCP: Yes, according to this site: http://lcd24.asp2.cz/Monitor/Yuraku/Yur.Vision-YV24WBH1/Default.aspx

PDF Specs: http://www.yuraku.de/downloads/YV24WBH1%20specs.pdf

The response time states 8ms so it's probably a diffrent panel, but the HDCP info looks promising. :)

HI there

Be careful, these monitors may all look similar, even identical but according to DGM they are not the same and could contain a different panel.

Once someone confirms HDCP on the OcUK one I will add it to the description but at the moment we cannot confirm, what we can confirm is the OcUK ones are PVA panels with 6ms response time and 500 nits brightness. :)

Could anyone take pictures and post dimensions of the monitor? Thats the only thing holding me back....

HI there

Some pictures from the one I am using here:-

The dimensions are 570 x 250 x 463 mm !!

Can someone please re-host the pictures ASAP please before they are taken down. :)

Thanks for the pics Gibbo. The viewing angles are indeed excellent the black levels (although always difficult to really tell from photos) look great too.

The cost saving appears to be in the bezel and stand which I'd take any day over the cost saving being done on the panel!

Looks like I'll be ordering this, an absolute bargain and I don't pay VAT either so stunning price for me.

Worst case scenario it gets demoted to 2nd monitor or goes into another room if I decide to get a higher quality panel later. This should fill the gap nicely between now and when the newer thinner, LED back-lit, 120Hz display port monitors arrive. No more waiting game for me!

Gibbo, may be worth changing it to say "VA" panel as opposed to "PVA" as I gather you are trying to confirm which type of Vertical Alignment (VA) panel it is being used here....either PVA (Samsung's technology, also extended to S-PVA), or MVA (from the likes of AU Optronics and CMO etc - also extended to P-MVA and S-MVA.....

anyway, complicating things now, but from what i gather, DGM have said they do use a VA panel, and your images certainly suggest this too :) Just whether it's a Samsung S-PVA (as in Dell 2407WFP etc) or MVA from someone else, probably AUO P-MVA (as in BenQ FP241W) if it was
