RIP to her in this thread and look forward to a discussion thread in the future.

She certainly was a strong divisive character

If she sees sid, she can tell him herself now :)

RIP Baroness Thatcher, you were a remarkable woman, your strength helped get the UK through dark times.

I do however fear that today’s people, and a complete lack of knowledge of ALL the details of the Thatcher government, along with a somewhat mob mentality to jump on bandwagons/be 'fashionable', will have leave some people having a different view of her – those with a different view tend to know very little about all she did. She of course made some unpopular choices, but the majority of her leadership she remained focused and got what needed to be done – done, so all credit to her. I’ll sit back and enjoy the irony as people have enjoyed easier lives (up until the recession – hell even during the recession) because of her, yet people hate her for no other reason than…….because someone else didn't like her.

RIP Baroness Thatcher

PS: I feel embarrassed as a human, people are celebrating the death of another human, disgusting and those that are should be ashamed of themselves.

Wow, am I the only person who neither hates nor loves Thatcher ?

MW

I was too young to care about politics then... although at the time I was anti-conservative, that was only down to my parents due to them getting screwed over by the gov for about £80k in a forced housing move.

Now... I don't care either way.

It's a shame to lose such a pinnacle figure though.

Not going to lie, probably going to have a few beers at the weekend and my friend has had a bottle of Champagne for a while now. Despised the witch.

Regardless of which, i do respect her for her balls. Good decisions or bad, she had massive cojones.

How old were you when she stepped down, 3 or 4 ? So why did you despise her?

These kinds of threads really are useful in understanding who on these forums is actually worth having a discussion/debate with :p

ps3ud0

Sure can. Just confirming it.

It's sad to see her die though.

Don't you agree?

She were a good leader to UK.

No, I don't agree. I'm not unhappy she has gone, quite the opposite.

I will happily concede she was a very, I struggle for the right word, but she was a woman who broke the mould, a very strong woman, I just disagree with her political beliefts.

Wow just wow.

She was doing a job. however good or bad she was at it she was doing a job.

So now people are happy that an old lady has died because they didn't like the way she did her job 23 years ago.

Come on guys **** off what she did for a living 23 years ago by all means but don't rejoice in the fact that she's now dead.

RIP Maggie.

Exactly, and most of them weren't even alive when she was in power!!

Well she has not been politically active for many a year, so how does her death make you glad? Is it what she stood for? Because thats just become stronger as she is now an ideal rather than a person. Whats your logic?
