Hitler was a strong man who stood by his belief's hardly vilified his actions
Haha, I wondered how long it would take someone to trot this one out. Ridiculous.
Hitler was a strong man who stood by his belief's hardly vilified his actions
So you'd be happy for everyone who doesn't agree with YOUR beliefs to die.
Haven't we been to war over something similar fairly recently
Indeed.
My great grandfather was a miner - I don't see her as a figure of hate. She privatised a dying industry, people need to get over it!
Societies uneducated need to think for themselves before spouting rubbish because an opinion has been passed down from generation to generation.
The mines weren't making a profit!!! They were a strain on the economy, for we were paying to effectively keep them open, all while the miners wanted a pay rise. She made the right decision. Of course everyone's not gonna like it. That's how life works. You make decisions which benefit the whole of society and not just one particular set of people.
Question, were you even around when she was?
RIP Baroness Thatcher, you were a remarkable woman, your strength helped get the UK through dark times.
I do however fear that today’s people, and a complete lack of knowledge of ALL the details of the Thatcher government, along with a somewhat mob mentality to jump on bandwagons/be 'fashionable', will have leave some people having a different view of her – those with a different view tend to know very little about all she did. She of course made some unpopular choices, but the majority of her leadership she remained focused and got what needed to be done – done, so all credit to her. I’ll sit back and enjoy the irony as people have enjoyed easier lives (up until the recession – hell even during the recession) because of her, yet people hate her for no other reason than…….because someone else didn't like her.
RIP Baroness Thatcher
PS: I feel embarrassed as a human, people are celebrating the death of another human, disgusting and those that are should be ashamed of themselves.
I do think Burnsy2023 was a bit quick to delete that post, though perhaps youll do better to choose your words/point more wiselyBurnsy2023, please respond to my email that i sent to your gmail address.
Thanks.
Given how quickly the thread is moving, I'm sure the mods are doing their best, they might have made a mistake though CaNsA, don't think too much of it.
Personally, I dread Thatcher’s death. It will be a nightmarish blend of the hysteria that followed Princess Diana’s tragic accident and a month-long political broadcast for the Conservative Party. “She put the ‘great’ back in Great Britain,” our impartial media will lecture us; those who dissent will either be purged from the airwaves or demonised as spiteful lefties. Senior Labour politicians will feel obliged to join in the serenading of a PM who, in many cases, laid waste to the communities they represent. I hope she goes on and on.
"Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
