It's "Barth", using the same sound for the a that is in "Father".

Look up the Trap-bath split, it actually shows that the broad A pronunciation (my/the southern way) came after the northern way.

:edit: Actually most of the time, if I'm talking to mates/casually I say "baath", definitely never said "bath" with a short a though, that's reserved for northern types...

What do you mean, Bath, Barth or Baath? That's three different words. If you want to know how people say the first word, then you've got to come up with a way in which you can type it without it being the word.

All I know is that I say it the proper way. :p

I'm asked how you pronounce "Bath", and given 3 "words" that explain the different ways of pronouncing without going into too much stupid depth.

Pretty simple I thought.

Well to me the word bath, is at a push spelt barth I guess, but because I read/say whichever way I do I find it hard to work out which way is which, as the others could fit too...barring baaath. :p

Maybe I'm just too simple. :p
