The BBC are very behind with the times. The problem has already been bypassed.
You can buy the retail version online for £24-26 with a bonus map if you preorder from a major high st shop.Just been into a high street retailer which sells games (No, not that one, the other one) and they are selling this for £34.99.
I laughed, said thank you, then walked out.

You can remap the controls, just run the Launcher. 3 Tabs at the top, 2nd and 3rd are the ones you want.
Yea I have tried to but nothing happens with a logitech rumblepad 2
Xpadder solves this as its free and you can use it to convert any PC game (even kb+mouse only) into supporting any USB gamepad Windows can see. You may need to look for an older version as the programmer charges for the newer one now but any xpadder app will work properly anyway. Cannot blame MS for wanting to enforce hardware stds as the lack of this is what drives mainstream gamers to the consoles (amongst other many things). This is my beef with PC games at the moment.
The DirectX API makes it easy for programmers to support ANY gamepad which is DirectX compatible although as most choose to support the 360 pad exclusively which I dont get as it would be SOOO easy to make them compatible with almost ANY controller.
Got my copy in the post today, paid a little under £17 from the place that used to be Virgin. Only problem I'm having so far is when I try to sign into LIVE it prompts me to install an update which doesn't seem to work.
Fantastic game though, well worth the wait over the console version.
The sound goes off when I play.
The cut scenes are fine, but as soon as Croc appears as you are walking the Joker through Arkham right at the begining, I loose sound.
Demo worked flawlessly
