Batman: Arkham Asylum

tho the demo is short the game runs great, everything on max etc etc. love the stelth and combat, looks like its gonna be a good game :) roll on the rls :)

I've installed the game with the AA way to high and it's running like a slideshow, htf do i change them, there is no in game menu and the initial options screen doesnt appear again!

If on Vista, and I guess Win7, you should have an icon in your Games Explorer. Right click this and choose 'launcher'.

Downloaded it and really enjoyed the demo.

The opportunities to combine stealth and tactics to take down a room of guards was really enjoyable, and I can well imagine there are several ways of succeeding (and failing). Loved the monologue from the joker with the taunts. They've done a great job with his character and I couldn't fall out with Harley Quinn. Very niiice.. ;)

Reminds me of the Thief series of games, with sneaking up behind the unsuspecting guards followed by the inevitable smack on the back of the head  The graphics are well rendered and extremely atmospheric and ran with no problems with the PC in my sig on some of the highest settings at 1600x1050.

I also just needed the Dark Knight theme just to pop up once but the music added to the story and worked well. Very moody stuff..

Oh look it's quarter past 2 in the morning...looks like it's one of those games. :D

I just prefer controlling third person games with a controller, and anyway this to me just feels more like a console game that suits a controller, maybe it's me.

Totally agree - the right tool for the right job (or game). Can't imagine why anyone would use a kb/mouse for a game like this over a pad.

@ Spirit7 and Gideon Lorr:
I have a Thrustmaster Dual Power gamepad connected and want to play the game/demo with it, but the camera keep turning around. Where is that ''thrust'' switch i have to put in the middle? I don't want to unplug it in order to use it in the game!
Many thanks

When I install this game I get a msg saying some files could not be installed and to restart my pc. When I did this all my display was changed, I could not get my monitor to display 1920 x1080. I noticed it had installed some Nvidia Physics software and I have an ATI card. Anyway, I deleted the whole game and had to install the ATI drivers again. No matter what I did in the CCC panel I was looking at what looked like 800 x 600 on a 24" screen. The display settings on the monitor were reading 1440x 900 while it should be 1920 x 1080. So far I have installed this game twice and not been able to play the game. So this game is messing about with something on my machine.

Anybody else have this problem?

No problem here with a GTX 295 - sure it wasn't the fact that it does a DX update?

It might be another button on the pad which has the same effect as thrust on my joystick? I just unplugged mine out since I don't often use it.
