*Batman: Arkham Asylum*

'Hard' is can be hard. Lots of hard fights. ;)

It's what I started on and 60% through. You won't be getting those combos as easily that's for sure.

What are ' combat indicators'?!

Just a note, you can get the Mano-A-Mano achievement on the last stage of Rumble in The Jungle if you missed it in story mode. Knock out all the goons first then just use explosive gel on the floor to stun the Titan, once he's stunned combo punch him into oblivion. You can't use a batarang at any point.

Nice Tip!! Just used this to get the Titan trophy AND I got 2 batarangs for that level. (I am certain I can get 3 if I go slowly).

Rumble in the jungle is easy to get 3 bats on thanks to the titan. If you stun him and then use critical combos you will get up to 22 multiplier before you kill him, iirc the kill is worth something silly like 200 points which multiplies to the best part of 10k.

Yeah after 3-4 bursts of fire you will drop to the floor dead, usually by the time you get to escape to other gargoyles you will have taken at least 2 bursts of gunshots.

You take much more damage.

Glad I went with my instinct and went for hard, medium would have been way too easy.

I wish I'd gone through on hard, strange as I normally go through on the harder difficulty if it's available.

I'll go back through at some point as I missed the Party Pooper achievement anyway.

hard is....ok so far. Having to be a lot more careful. Scenarios are taking me a lot longer, having to plan my attacks much better. Dreading boss fights, found them frustrating on normal. Hopefully my improved combat skills since then should help though.

Played up to a part where I think it is opening up. I can see what I've heard about it being like bioshock - in the structure. I felt a bit constricted for a while, like I was being led ( I guess I was ) and I had a set, linear, path. Apparantly it gets really, really good.

I really think the closest thing to this is Chronicles of Riddick. Aside from the obvious prison location the intro is very similar, you spend a ****load of time in vents, the engine looks similar, all about staying in the shadows. The combat while from a different perspective has a similar 'street' style. All this is meant complimentary rather than insinuating any copying. This is probably one of the best games I've played since Riddick.

I admit I had a few problems knowing where to go / what to do.

One that springs to mind is the first Scarecrow sequence.. couldn't work out what to do for at least 5 minutes haha

Great game but I'm really hating the detective vision.. I think they need to nerf the range as it's becoming annoying seeing EVERY guy on the map when walking down corridors. Still, it's the only game I want to play on hard when it's done.

Just fought the first 2 Titans. Took me around 8 hrs to do so far :)

Well, I enjoyed the demo but was worried about longevity and that I'd get bored retty quick. Decided to trade in some stuff and get this yesterday anyway - and I hardly ever get games at full price. But am so glad I did!

While I realise the novelty may still wear off, I think I will get a good amount of play out of this. While I am not that far, I think I will more than likely do a play through on higher difficulty.

It's just so polished. Have been having a ball with it so far. Quite looking forward to losing most of my weekend to it.

I have a question about the story mode in the game. When moving around the enviroment with my vision in detective mode
I can see walls and windows that can be destroyed to reveal riddler clues but they are usually 10feet or higher of the ground
and there doesn't see to be any way of getting to them that I can find. I have tried all the usual methods of jumping/trying
to climb, using the grapple and bat claw but nothing works. Also it would seem I have to hang from something whilst spraying
the explosive foam, is this possible??
Would appreciate any advice..

That's not how you do it. Just play through the story mode, means will become available ;)
