Batman Arkham City - Thread

New Securom dvd check is causing the DVD to spin a lot @ launch for around 2-3 minutes just like it did on the 360 version its a new form of disc based drm to ensure its a legit dvd this is causing scratches to appear already. I have 4 different dvd drives it spins up a lot on all of them if you have a silent drive or volume too loud you may not even notice but its spinning a lot.

US holidays are causing a delay as both Nvidia & MS need to certify the patch.

ah ha explains it, thanks. But I still don't get the disc scratching. Mine still looks great and it has been booted many times for tests on AC

I got a free copy of this with my Nvidia 560Ti but how do you redeem the code on Steam? I have added the game to my basket but it wants to charge my credit card. Any advice? Thanks.

I don't see anything ...what am I doing wrong?
Ok got it now from my games library & activate game option. THanks.

in its state now for the pc is it worth buying ? i dont mind playing it in dx 9 if i have to, was a huge fan of the original
Depends what gaming pc you have. For me the game runs very well in dx9 but stutters quite bad in places with all dx11 features enabled. I max the game out, physX high, @1920x1080 120Hz i get average 60 fps max in dx9 and average 30 fps max in dx11. Looks superb in nvidia 3D Vision.

hard to say at this point if the dx11 issues are because of game bugs or specific graphics card driver bugs or maybe i need another GTX 580 for max settings and higher framerates? :D

Definitely need to play this again, spent half of last night going 'hmmmm?? uhhhh?' getting totally lost looking for things, forgetting about the hacking tools, spending ages wandering around looking for alternative ways into a building. Why can't all games be outside the box lol also slightly disappointed about no Croc :( entered plenty of sewers thinking, hmmmmm will he jump out, alas no :(

you need a basic Nvidia card for PhysX, something higher than a 86** GT series i believe,

You should have no issues maxing the game out with that spec, none at all :)
although you could Oc your cpu to let your Gpu stretch it's legs ;) try 3.8Ghz :p
