Batman Arkham City - Thread

Nooooooo they have done it to us again! just read this on RPS

not at all happy.

Sigh, the disease is spreading. Batman: Arkham City on PC, formerly set to be released alongside the consoles, has been pushed back a month. The 360 and PS3 versions of Warner’s game are still coming out on the 21st October, but our version has been given the ambiguous and extremely unhelpful date of “November”. Absolutely no reason is given, so we’ve contacted Warner to find out what’s up.

Obviously delayed because of piracy concerns on PC its SP only so was never ever going to be released at the same time as the console versions. Arkham Asylum was also delayed a month or so......

Poor show but moves it away from BF3,
Played through Asylum over the weekend and was in the mood for more, looked through some of the videos and it looks good, dont want to spoil too much though

The original was delayed on PC for Nvidia cash.

The sequel has been delayed for either Nvidia cash or console cash.

not happy

one of the reasons i purchased a new nvidia card was to get this game with it

seemed like a nice deal

and now they go and do this bullcrap without any explanation

I think that's the main problem people have with stunts like this, in that we are always told the same line that it will be out at the same time as the consoles then for no reason (given that is) they do a U turn and hold us back. Wouldnt mind if they said all console releases of game X will be out a month before the pc. least no one's dissapointed from it or pre-order the game hoping to get it then having it inexplicably delayed.

Arkham Asylum was one of the most impressive left field games I've ever played. Wasn't sure what to expect and played it on a whim, pretty much blown away. Only problem Arkham City will have is my new excessively heightened expectations!

I wonder why there is no collectors edition for the PC?. Which one to get?.

Not pre-ordered myself, will just buy from game shop in the city. warner Brothers gave no mention of why PC delayed, but only two week delay so not end of world, and they said the PC version will be the best (but we knew that

Yep got it pre-ordered for £26.91 although I have seen it for £25.94. Cannot say where as competitor's but not hard to find.

No real decent PC pre-order bonuses someone is selling for £32 with a metal tin & Batman skin but as all DLC will sold at a later date I will buy the cheapest then buy the DLC I really want (jokers challenge map is the only one which is worth anything as it adds 4 hours gameplay time according to Rocksteady but a major supermarket in the UK have the exclusive on this so you can buy from them or wait until it becomes DLC for a few pounds).

According to Sefton PC is only delayed a few weeks so most likely 1st November according to Gamefaq's/Gamespot.
