*** Battlefield 1 ***

Anyone else on Xbox1 suddenly noticed lag/frame rate drop in multiplayer. I was playing online with no problems and then this week any game I try is borderline unplayable. I've tried playing different servers and times of day but result is the same. Fairly sure it's an issue with my internet but worth checking if this was a wider issue?

So can you do medals multiple times? Sometimes it shows ones I've already done with ticks and sometimes not. Also, sometimes it shows half completed ones. The whole thing is pretty confusing.

classic lag

On your screen you've moved away from the door so can't be shot. On his screen you're still in the doorway so can shoot you.

Happens all the time. Most likely due to the fact that all the console servers are 30hz. Notice you start taking damage from your left as soon as you step forward.
 
Guys, Im going to buy this on digital tomorrow.

Reference standard vs deluxe, do the Hellfighter + Lawrence of Arabia packs include actual additional weapons or just reskins of existing weapons? Its +£15 for deluxe but Im quite OCD about these things if it means having something functionally different ingame.

Not sure whether to splurge £120 on the Titanfall2/BF1 deluxe packs or go £55 standard BF1 and pick up a used hard copy of Titanfall2. Im certain I'll like BF1, but cant be sure in TF2 until I try it.

I still kick myself for buying The Division Deluxe digital for £70odd and only playing it 5mins.

The unlocks are just cosmetic for BF1.

I'm the same on the division, got swept up in the hype, bought game + season pass and didn't play it again after mid April.
 
Changing your classes around on here is such a pain in the arse. Not only do they force you to change them in game, it also keeps changing everything back to default whilst I'm choosing stuff. The app is no better either.

Pretty good game when it's not trying to annoy me, but made by a bunch of clowns who obviously had no hand in making the far superior previous games such as BC2... Or if they did, they're idiots for messing everything up. The menus are slow as **** too.

agreed. No idea why they changed this. There was nothing wrong with the old system, nobody complained about it, and it wasn't like it was in any way necessary or off putting to new players. You could completely ignore them and just play the game. They didn't need to be made simpler.
 
I'm pretty much ignoring them now. I liked the old system as well.

Still loving this. I pretty much like all the conquest maps now. Still loads of little tunnels and paths that I'm discovering all the time.
 
i'm guessing you weren't on voice chat?

voice chat in BF1, with a some what organised group, is the key to victory.

i find it very hard to communicate with my team without voice and it's understandable when say someone is driving the Dreadnought that they don't know if you're hitting you targets and where you need them to drive it
 
Got level 40 last night, really have surprised myself by how much I've played it. Almost entirely conquest mode apart from when I got some medals in other modes. Not really played medic since I got rank 10 and sticking mainly with assault at the moment. I like having anti tank grenades and the prone anti tank rocket launcher. Think i'll it to rank 10 then do support. Not loving sniper so much and the kill vehicles with the k bullet medal step has kind of put me off.
 
I seem to have developed a liking for playing scout which I never though would happen although I don't lie down on the hillside trying to snipe constantly and tend to fire a flare onto the objective and pile in with the rest of the squad.

This game is a really easy platinum trophy for anyone who's interested in that kind of thing.
 
I'm absolutely loving this. Finally starting to get the hang of playing on a ps4 controller...slowly but surely. Decided to unlock the russian 1895 infantry rifle on scout and absolutely loving it for close/medium range.

One question - i've never done voice comms on ps4...if i were to get a headset would i only be able to chat with people who are my friends on psn? Or will it be with anyone on my squad / team who also has a headset? I can't help feeling that voice comms would really take this to the next level but i don't have any psn friends or anything like that so not quite sure how to go about it...
 
Started playing the SP campaign today:

Highlights so far - enemy troops that cannot be cut down by tank fire, only to fall when shelling them. And some checkpoint bug where I have just lost the sweet ass anti tank rifle and rocket rifle I picked up :(

Loving the multiplayer on this.

Conquest is just amazing, since getting used to assault after initially going medic now I tear it up,and the Hunter shotgun, oh boy.

Operations is great.

Medals and battle packs are awful though.

I love operations and domination. Not tried Conquest though as I've never been a fan of the huge maps.
 
Just played for the first time on my PS4 Pro and what a difference, still notice the odd drop on 64 Conquest but it's massively and i mean massively improved.
